  1. 1ST COMMENT Aswome video. alot of ppl with bracesz really need thisxz :)

  2. Though I still have the bands only, I allready have started operation Braces every evening. Every night electrical brushing, flossing, using Listerine Total Care and using the waterpik (It also comes with a special dental tube/brush thing) I can recommend the waterpik.

  3. Are you a mother?

  4. @iiHatezDomii thank you!

  5. @morpheus1976 great tip! i did use a water pik when i wore braces as a teenager and it was great. i just haven’t gotten around to investing in one this time around :)

  6. @FuturisticTV nope, no kids.

  7. You Are A Very Pretty Lady! All Love For ya :o)

  8. braces very very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. I personally asked my orthodontist about whitening products, he said whitening toothpaste and rinse are fine to use while you have braces. They don’t contain strong ingredients to fully whiten the teeth and only clean surface stains (coffee etc). The only whitening products to avoid are ones that you keep in longer such as whitening strips, whitening gel trays etc since they contain a stronger whitening ingredient/agent than toothpaste and rinse.

  10. @Sky0fLov3 Also if you read the fine prints of many toothpaste and rinse that have whitening power in them, it states *only cleans surface stains*. I use them and have not seen a whitening change with my teeth. They are actually recommended to those who eat a lot of food with coloring, like myself I am a heavy soy sauce eater (I love Asian foods :)

  11. My favorite floss with braces is Oral-B Satin Floss. It’s flat and goes in easily without a threader :) I went through so many different floss brands and find flat tape floss a lot easier to maneuver. Good luck with your next visit and your journey :)

  12. @Sky0fLov3 interesting! i think that makes sense. but since my orthodontist specifically instructed me not to use any whitening products (even the toothpaste or rinse) i am following his instructions.

  13. @Sky0fLov3 thanks for the tip!

  14. @brainsRbeauty I hear ya :) I guess all orthos have different methods hehe. I always look for the lowest percentage in hydrogen peroxide and so far doing very good with zero whitening changes in my natural teeth :D My primary dentist also said it was ok to use :) I normally wouldn’t use whitening toothpaste or rinse, but I have clear brackets on my top teeth and they look disgusting if I don’t use a surface stain cleaner on them. They are so much more work to maintain than metal :<

  15. @brainsRbeauty Oh I also forgot to recommend soft-picks by Sunstar GUM, they are great for back molar cleaning :D I just had my wire adjusted today, the back wires got caught in my normal floss string :( I’m looking into a plaque detector thanks to you, I think it will help a lot with all the appliance in my mouth lol

  16. Hi iam 12 years old and i get braces tomorrow any advice ?

  17. If you can, enjoy a last meal that includes some of the foods you won’t be able to eat once you have braces :) Good luck!

  18. So I tried the whole plaque detector and I honestly found it useless :x I did a test and after I completely brushed my teeth I swished another of the plaque detector and it turned my whole mouth blue again. I think the whole thing is a gimmick and not really detecting plaque at all. I brush 4 minutes with my electric brush on all quadrants and manually brush for 1 minute after. I even use a pre brush mouthwash before the plaque detector. I had to stop using it :< Just wanted to let you know :)

  19. @Sky0fLov3 how frustrating!

  20. @Sky0fLov3 so i just tested my plaque detector using pretty much the same method. swish. brush with traditional (non-electric) toothbrush, floss. swish again. my results were that i only very trace amounts of blue in one or two spots right next to brackets that i missed. it seems to be working for me, but i’m very glad to know that it doesn’t work for everyone! (so that i can put a caveat on my recommendation)

  21. @brainsRbeauty Not sure if it’s the brand I bought or what, but I know for a fact my teeth are pretty clean since I got my hygienist cleaning recently and was told I had zero cavities/problems. Glad it worked out for you though :)

The thing I hated the most about my plaque detector is the blue didn’t fade away from my tongue even after using a tongue scrapper and manual toothbrush lol It bothered me so much :< hehe

  22. @Sky0fLov3 i totally agree with you about the tongue thing. i had that same issue. looks like i just ate a blue raspberry popsicle!

  23. @brainsRbeauty Hey, I was wondering if you could do a vid showing what you bring with you in your purse as far as braces/teeth care? Ever since I got my braces on, I’ve made a dental kit and have been finding myself adding/needing more stuff into my kit. I don’t see very many women carrying anything in their purse as far as dental hygiene stuff (I know I didn’t except gum before I had braces lol). Would love to know what you bring with you when you eat out :D

  24. When I had braces I was told by my dentist that I didn’t have to floss so I am suprised people that have braces floss. You might want to check with your dentist. I also had to use a flouride gel I had to brush on my braces but of course now they have rinses so I am suprised you dont have to do that.

  25. @Sky0fLov3 hey there! just realized that i haven’t replied to this video! thanks for the request. i’m posting a new braces vlog today that i just filmed, but i will include this info in my next video. how are things going with your braces?
