The arrow that I drew on the picture (ha) is my left tooth and it's slightly crooked and doesn't match the right one as far as length goes.
Can a dentist just shave it to match the other side? Does it effect your tooth or enamel? Is there any pain involved? How much does tooth shaving cost?

Of course! I’ve had this done. I was complaining to my orthodontist and he just shaved my tooth right then and there, without charging me any extra. Easy as pie.
You can also have the other tooth bonded to be as long as the shorter one.

At your next cleaning and checkup, ask the dentist. It can be done but for reasons I don’t know about it might not be recommended for you.

well i saw the pics you have given through link provided.
yes it can be done.it is very easy job.can be done in minutes
fine burs are available to do this work.by this the involved teeth can be brought to shape matching with neighboring tooth
it depends on how many mm does your dentist is going to shave the teeth.
if done too much it can lead to tooth sensitivity due to exposure of dentin.
cost varies from place to place and from one dentist to another.so dont know to tell about this
good luck
