Can you be reinfected with toothbrush, towel, lipstick etc after strep A infection?

Group A Strep is transmitted by contact with infected bodily fluids including those found on common items such as toothbrushes, cosmetics, towels, and by sharing items like drinking glasses and silverware. To avoid re-contamination, you should get a new toothbrush 24 hours after beginning antibiotics. You should also be sure to wash common household items like towels. Another good idea is to wipe down your telephone with a disinfectant, as well as your keyboard.

  2. It’s possible. I know everytime I got it, my mom made me change my toothbrush, wash pillowcases, etc. So it really can’t hurt to be safe.
