  1. The major cause of bad breath is the top of the tongue where bacteria produce those bad smells. Mints, gum, mouthwash and even toothpaste will cover up bad breath for a short time, however, these products do not cure bad breath because they do not get rid of the bacteria that cause it. To get rid of bad breath you must clean the top of the tongue. I learned about OraBrush 6 months ago and have been cleaning my tongue every time I brush my teeth since then. I have fresh breath. Works for me.

  2. Gum works better and lasts longer than mints. Chew spearmint gum.

  3. i had the same situation and the bad breath ended after i flossed every night before bed..and i keep on flossing…and i brush my tongue with toothpaste twice a day….

  4. Buy some listerine strips, to keep handy !
Or go to a dentist and tell them about your
problem I’m sure they will give you a mouthwash
    that will work .

  5. you need to talk to a dentist there could be something up with your mouth

brush more often for longer after meals and stuff. yeah its not that great to brush teeth at school but hey its better than bad breath ya know?even if its for about a minute

also brush your teeth reallyy good before you go to sleep this prevents bacteria from feeding on stuff in your mouth over night that can cause morning breath

    floss*

  6. Drink lots lots lots lots lots of water. Eat more fruits or vegetables. You can always pop mint sweet anytime right? : )

  7. Solving bad breath issues at home

Home and herbal remedies are one of the options that people who have halitosis or bad breath can use. Aside from containing less to no side effects, they are chemical-free, these remedies can be cheaper when compared to medical treatments.

Studies show that a person no matter how good-looking, sensible, and hardworking he or she is, they will not stand out if they have bad breath. This is because it has a great impact on the overall impression of the person. Having bad breath can lower self-esteem because they are afraid to speak freely because of how bad their breath smells.

Home and herbal remedies for bad breath

The best way of dealing with bad breath or halitosis is going to a dentist. Your doctor can give you an overall assessment of the condition. But if there are restrictions such as financial issues, and schedule, people can use bad breath remedies within the comforts of their own home.

The following are just some of the home and herbal remedies which have great potential in dealing with bad breath issues:

    - Brushing with the use of baking soda. With hydrogen peroxide, which is an effective antibacterial agent, baking soda can be beneficial in improving the status of one’s breath, it reduces acid in the mouth protecting it against the presence of bacteria. Those who are suffering from halitosis can use baking soda as toothpaste to take advantage of its natural properties.

    - Drinking apple cider vinegar. One of the causes of bad breath is indigestion. Apple cider vinegar, which is effective in aiding good digestion, can help avoid bad breath.

    - Chewing a piece of charcoal. This might sound weird but chewing an activated charcoal can help lessen bad breath issues. Charcoal contains properties which can cleanse the stomach through the intestines. When chewed, it serves as a natural purifier which helps flush out toxins in the digestive system.

    - Munching and chewing herbs. Being organic, herbs have a great potential for dealing with halitosis. Chewing herbs such as anise, cardamom, fennel seeds, parsley, filberts, mint, rosemary, basil, wintergreen, myrrh, thyme, and dill can benefit your overall oral health by eliminating bad breath.

    - Rock salt dissolved in water. Gargling this solution of salt and water can greatly benefit one’s oral health because it washes out bacteria, mucus, and other food particles present in the mouth and in the throat. When these are flushed out, the breath will be fresher.

Since they are readily available, these home and herbal remedies can be used when needed. But, to ensure that the halitosis or bad breath is treated properly, it is best to develop and maintain good oral hygiene with the supervision of a dentist.
