How long did it take you to get good at flossing with braces?

I'm on day 3, and it takes me like 15 minutes just to floss. Even with that thread they gave me.

well it took me like a month to really get the hang of it…sorry braces suck!!! but think of your georgeous smile you’ll have….!!!

er i jus gave up on flossing when i had braces and continued flossing when i got them off…..so whichever way you wanna do it….whether you stop or continue doing it taking up a lotta time..good luck lol

It actually didn’t take too long when I did it. I just recommend using those Crest flossers that you can get from the dentist or a local drug store. They’re made especially for people with braces, so it’s easier. Also, looking in the mirror helped me floss better. Just keep practicing and you’ll get the hang of it! :)

I still have my braces on (they are such a pain)! I still haven’t gotten quite used to the awkward situation of flossing with my braces and I’ve had them on for almost 6 months! I pretty much gave up on trying to floss a couple of months ago and have just been using things toothpicks and other tools my orthodontist gave me to clean in between my teeth. Although I don’t suggest you try this because it doesn’t quite get your teeth as clean and now I think I have my very first cavity :(

I’m in my first year and I’m still not perfect. Just keep trying and you’ll get it. I hate flossing with braces and it’s even harder with the built in retainer they gave me. So yeah. The third day don’t think it’ll be easy. But every time I go to the dentist I ask for more tips.

I never could get the hand of the threaders….. try getting something called superfloss from oral-b crest has a kind out there too… they atre a little pricey, but I can almost floss normaly… only takes me a couple of min. more to floss now
