how possible is it to inhale tooth paste if you are brushing your teeth, have your mouth fill with foam?

Posted on August 19, 2010

i was sitting in front of the computer and brushing my teeth. had my mouth all full of tooth paste foam, had my mouth closed to not let it escape. was about to go dump all that foam in the sink. but i took a breath, and i felt that it kind of pulled in where you intake air when you're breathing through your mouth. i went and spat it out. and now i'm wondering if you think its possible to inhale tooth paste while brushing your teeth if your closed mouth is full of foam?

  1. inhaling the strong flavor is possible.
As we know toothpaste is VERY strongly flavored.
So that may feel like your inhaling the paste/foam itself.

(Like taking a deep breath after just chewing minty gum)

But you would know if you swallowed anything.
Its most definitely the flavor you inhaled.

  2. not probable

  3. It might have gone partway down and then started to climb up towards your nasal passages as you were breathing.
