I'm too nervous/scared to buy deodorant and teeth whitening strips and I'm 13? I'm retarded?
I feel stupid. My mom never buys me deodorant so I always use my moms or my sisters everyday without telling anyone. Also, I really wanted whitening strips..So I knew before I went to the store that I wanted these things, and I was like "okay i'm just being stupid and there's nothing to be shy about"..
But when I got there, it's like so different than I imagined. The drugstore had a lot of people in it..I got to the teeth whitening aisle and it's a really small aisle. There were like 8 people in that aisle and you have to press a button and wait for an employee to come and open up the plastic box with a key and get the whitening strips...i went into the aisle and then i went back out because i just couldn't do it..then i went over to the deodorant aisle and got bodywash..but then i just could not get the deodorant. i just got really nervous when i was there. there were just a lot of people passing by and stuff and my dad was right next to me.
PLEASE HELP!! I AM RETARDED

but i'm just really shy and i don't understand why i'm so uncomfortable with these things. how do i get over this?
i already started my period when i was 11, and i was too shy to tell her, but somehow she found out 2 years after i started it. and my mom bought me pads like 2 times. but i usually take my mom and sister's pads/tampons.
and i started crying in the car because i felt stupid and immature

You could get arm&hammer whitening tooth paste (works really well) and your 13 so it’s normal for you to get deoderent because people might make fun of you if you dont wear any lol..or just ask your mom to buy the stuff for you. After awhile you will get over it because I’m 13 too and it’s no problem compared to when I have to buy myself tampons :S

The teeth whitening strips are no big deal, just act like you’re busy on your phone or something while they are getting them and be really nice to the guy getting them, lol. As for deodorant, just buy it with a lot of other stuff. I am sort of shy about that stuff too (im 15) but when you see people buying hemroid cream and adult diapers, you realize it’s not such a big deal (besides, everyone wears deodorant…or they should…)

no!!im the same way sometimes but you should feel good about that because people will know you can take care of your self or for the deodorant get two things at once like get the bodywash but on the way down the aisle grab some deodorant.

i know what u mean… just know that everyone (well most people) wear deodorant… and those that dont are just plain nasty! so go buy it and dont care.
also … so what about the whitening strips.. just dont pay too much attention to it. if you want some buy some.

Gosh, its no big deal. Just buy the stuff. When your older you will be buying tampons, pads and condoms. And when your really old you be buying depends and dye for your gray hairs.
Deodorant and whitening strips are no worse than shampoo and toothpaste.

Okay so one time I was on a trip without my mom and with my dad. Just my luck, it happened to be a specail time of the month. Anyway, I had to by some lady items for myself and deoderant because i left mine at home! To make it worse, I had to run out to the car to get more money from my dad because i didn’t have enough!
Yah, embarrassing! Anyway my point is, just buy it. It’s not that bad. You can do it.

OK don’t worry its not that your retarded trust me everyone goes through this in their own way I’m 21 and remember going through this too ask your mom to take you and show you more steps on being a girl and to teach you how to do it girls are sometimes unable to bring them selves to situations like this with there dads with moms it is easier and less stress keep the stress and the drama minimal i have learned from experience!

At thirteen, you need deordorant. And you should be using your own, not your moms, or your sisters, you need your own as that is most sanitary, because by using theirs you are really just rubbing on their musk (underarm body odor) on you. As for buying the tooth whitners, as long as your teeth and gums are healthy and not decaying, you should buy some. The people at the drugstore are there for themselves, to pick up their own products, the are not thinking about you. The sales people sale tooth whiteners and deodorant all day, to all kinds of people, and they are not thinking about you eithier. Stop the insanity, and take care of yourself.

one thing you dont need get whitening strips for have clean teeth because those whitening strips doesnt even work anymore and even makes youre teeth more worst and even youre too young to use them if you dont know how to use them . and also if youre scared of getting yourself deodorant then ask youre mom or youre sister to buy one for you . well you shouldnt be embresssing to get that yourself if youre dad is there .all girls and boys has the same things have stinking under arms .

dint think of the people around you i went thru that phase too but i dont really care about what others thin now because there going to forget it… and besides its not like they will always remember oh yeah there was a girl getting deodorants and whitening strips and i’m going to remember it thru the rest of my life so others arent going to remember you and you can always act like your interested in something else when the person walks by… but get what you need and its not like your the only person in the world that gets this stuff beside dont be shy cuz if you do the more they pay attention to you… this is what i usually do when i feel nervous or shy… i hope this helped

its normal, but just know that there is nothing to be afraid of everyone wears deodorant and most people use whitening strips but if u r only fourteen you probly dnt even need them yet, wait til highschool.
