I have braces and so some of my family and friends told me that electronic tooth brushes are better than a normal toothbrush, but is it true?

YES! they are much better because they get stuff that’s stuck in your braces out!!! yay clean teeth almost like the day you got them on!! =]

Electronic brushes are typically better for anyone – braces, or no braces. With braces, you can actually get a model from Oral B that has an attachment specifically to help clean around your brackets easier. Not cheap though, I believe it runs around $150 (depending where you buy it, of course).
And the chances of it breaking your braces are actually pretty slim, they are cemented onto your teeth very solidly and it would be very difficult to snap the wires between your brackets either. So I wouldn’t worry about that. We routinely recommend electric toothbrushes to most of our patients because of their proven benefit over the manual brushes.
