Is it normal to bleed while flossing? ?

Each time I floss between my teeth, I notice a small amount of blood (between a few teeth only). Does it mean I should check my gums for some sort of disease? Thanks.

Is it normal for your scalp to bleed when you brush your hair? It is common but not "normal" (if normal means healthy). Bleeding is a sign that something is going on. If you floss daily, then the bleeding should cease. If it continues for months to years, it causes your body to generate c- reactive protein. This protein is responsible for the development of heart disease. Of course, "gum disease" is the more readily apparent result.
Good luck

Yes, it is normal according to my health teacher. The few teeth that bleed are not as used to being flossed than the other teeth. It bleeds because it is uncomfortable, so be sure to floss better on those teeth.

I’m not sure, but see what happens when you brush. It could be a sign that you have gingivitis, and it can also happen if you are a smoker. A little bleeding here and there should be fine, but if it’s more than a few teeth asking your dentist shouldn’t hurt! Try to use mouthwash in the morning and night if you are able to.
