@fullfist how dare you diss Athena Jezik

@fullfist everyone has different opinions on how things should be done. It isn’t up to you how another person chooses to be treated. You don’t have to go, but if it works for someone else, if they feel better, isn’t that great? Pipe down and respect others an their differences.

@fullfist It might seem that way for the untrained eye. She’s got quite a few letters that follow her name and a lot of experience. Take this from a person that does home massage for her husband that has chronic back pain. Her techniques might not look like much, but they honestly work. Using too much pressure can cause long lasting discomfort and pain.
If she were all about the money, she would not be showing her techniques here for all to see at no cost.

@samsun1975 It depends on what you do during the day. A supportive chair at work, good posture, and wearing comfortable shoes will help. Lower back pain can move upwards if it is allowed to build up.
I have scoliosis and other damage done by an epidural gone wrong. Taking less than 5 minutes to stretch out the back in the morning and evening make all the difference in the world for reducing pain levels.

@HoneyBee761 Have you tried sleeping on your left side with a pillow between your knees? That’s supposed to be the most comfortable and beneficial position for you and your baby. If you have the cash to spare, body pillows are heavenly. :o)

@samsun1975 If your boss won’t get you a new chair, pick up a large exercise ball and bring it into work to use instead. They are dirt cheap. It’ll make you take notice of your posture and are actually really comfy. They use them in a lot of offices in Europe. My husband’s boss is a cheap bastard and has economy chairs that hurt the back terribly, so that’s what my hubby started doing. Also, if you are answering phones at all, ask for a hands free earpiece or get your own.

I’m afraid ancient people didn’t “just know things”… half of humanity died as infants, a significant portion of women died giving birth, and those that survived childhood could only hope to live for a couple of decades.

Sciatic pain can also come from inflammation around the ischial tuberosity (sitting bones), as well as issues with the piriformis muscle, pelvic imbalance issues, and other functional and structural problems, and can even come from complications with the knee. The sciatic nerve is a complex structure and is not a ” single nerve” as most of us think. Very good video for the beginner however : )

A great failing of YouTube is in not allowing those featured in videos to clean up the comments below. Many are moronic, show ignorance and sometimes are slanderous.
