Do i have gingivitis?

Posted on February 7, 2011

My gums always bleed when i brush my teeth. But that's the ONLY symptom i have.

Should i go to the dentist asap before it's too late and i develop periodontists?

Btw, i brush my teeth twice a day.

what do i do if i have gingivitus?

Posted on September 20, 2010

So I know this is bad but I haven't been to the dentist in 3yrs. I know I know I'm gonna go asap so don't tell me just go to the dentist.
So last time I went they told me I was at risk of getting gingivitus. I think I have it already cuz my teeth look really bad :( they have like plaque or I don't know but my lower teeth are kinda dark like grayish on the bottom by my gums. I don't know what this is. So I wanna know what should I do besides go to the dentist. What toothpaste should I use and what kind of tooth brush should I buy? Please help!

Brown stains on teeth?

Posted on August 30, 2010

Hi,

I have just noticed that about 4 of my front lower teeth have brown/black stains on the back. I never noticed this until a bit of staining started appearing on the front of one of them, then I looked at the back and thought "oh my god!!". Quite a few of my other teeth have some slight brownness where the tooth meets the gum. I have not been to the dentist for about 2 years and am going to go make an appointment ASAP. But I have been brushing my teeth 2 or 3 times every day. Should I be worried? Or does it sound like just a bit of plaque/tartar buildup? (The 4 affected teeth are all next to each other.)

Thanks

HOW LONG DOES GINGIVITIS TAKE TO HEAL?

Posted on August 9, 2010

Once the dentist cleans your teeth...how long does the Gingivitis healing process take? Days? A couple weeks? The Gingivitis problem that I am having is around one tooth and one tooth only. I had my teeth cleaned maybe two weeks ago and the dentist said it should start healing asap but its still not gone. My oral hygiene has never been bad but now it is phenomenal, soooo... anyone having the same problem and how much longer before this goes away!!??

Discoloration on two year old's teeth?

Posted on July 20, 2010

I recently noticed some discoloration on my 2.5 year old daughter's two front teeth. I check her teeth frequently and have never noticed anything before. Her teeth seem to have a bright white thin half circle line across the middle of the teeth, horizontally. The teeth look darker than before but I'm not sure if it's the white just making them look that way in contrast. We brush her teeth twice a day and floss at least a couple times a week. A few days before I noticed the discoloration, I'd started using fluoride toothpaste every other night because she is getting the hang of rinsing and spitting. I've read online that white spots can usually mean decay, but I was wondering if the fluoride toothpaste couldve been too strong for her little teeth and caused this? Her teeth don't feel any different to the touch than they did before. She's great about brushing but drinks a lot of milk, so that worries me. I am looking for a pediatric dentist in our area to get her seen ASAP, but was hoping maybe I could get some ideas in the meantime.
I shouldve added that we always use a child's, soft toothbrush. We also use Orajel training toothpaste every time. I stopped using the fluoride toothpaster after only using it 2 or 3 times and noticing the discoloration. I floss her teeth because they are very close together, not spaced out at all and it's easy for her to get food stuck between them. I do It very easy so I don't hurt her!
