What ingredient(s) or property(ies) of Crest Pro Health Clinical toothpaste enable it to treat gingivitis?

Posted on April 2, 2011

. . . so effectively, when the only active ingredient in it is a fluoride, like most any other anti-cavity toothpaste, and fluoride is an enamel-corrosion inhibitor, not an antiseptic like triclosan; and an antiseptic would presumably be an essential ingredient, to reduce the bacteria that cause the gingivitis that this product is said to treat.

What does brushing teeth do to us?

Posted on March 18, 2011

Being more detailed, I know brushing teeth will take the bacteria in your mouth and might make teeth white but is that all?
Cause after brushing I look in the mirror and my skin seems different, like it's more smoother or cleaner in a way but it goes off just after I brushed, so my question would be does brushing teeth have some other effect other then the ones I just listed?

Thanks

What foods Neutralize Bad Breath?

Posted on March 3, 2011

I know that Celery is one of them, some people say Apples, but that builds up white stuff on my tongue.

Dairy products and breath make my breath smell bad.

Any suggestions?
Dairy Products and BREAD give me bad breath. Sorry typo.
No I read somewhere that anyting with Citrus will increase the bacteria in your mouth (or something like that).

If i wrap my toothbrush with toilet paper, at night, will it be cleaner by my next use?

Posted on March 1, 2011

so every night i wrap my brush in toilet paper to keep bacteria out, i think this may be bad because it also insulates whatever bacteria that is already living there.
Any advice?

Is it possible for someone to pass gingivitis?

Posted on February 23, 2011

Ive always taken good care of my mouth and visited the dentist when i could, now my partner doesnt brush his teeth at all and all he does is rise with mouth wash. Ive also recently started taking a new prescription for and infection, and ive noticed that my gums have started bleeding after i brush and floss in the morning, is it possible for him to pass on any bacteria from his mouth to mine while we kiss? or am i over reacting? or is it a side effect of the medication?

Should you rinse your mouth with water after brushing your teeth?

Posted on February 8, 2011

I've always rinsed my mouth with water after brushing my teeth but I just started thinking, doesn't it flush the fluoride out which is supposed to cover my teeth and protect from bacteria?
So I'm sort of thinking that I should just spit the excess toothpaste out of my mouth and let the rest cover my teeth and protect them as it's actually supposed to.

Am I right about this? Or how does the whole thing work?
