I need temporary relief for my tooth?

Posted on June 18, 2011

I've got a bad tooth and part of it has chipped off today :( It's not painful unless I close my jaws all the way, so I've been avoiding to do that). I'm asking around for a reasonable price to have it removed soon, because I don't have insurance.

My question is, what can I do right now, to slow down the process of the erosion and pain (that is soon to come unless I get to the dentist quick). At the moment, I'm using grapefruit extract diluted into 3oz of water and gargle on it twice a day. I think it helps a bit, and I've been taking vitamic C too. What else can I do or eat at this point?

tbh i just started brushing my teeth about 4 months ago and, i have been getting bad tooth ache?

I have horrible breath, I have one bad tooth and since It has broke in half my breath has been bad, I brush twice a day or more and floss and brush my tounge...What else can I do ??
wendy B> I am almost 25 years old. and I've had this problem for about a year now.
I am wondering if it isnt infected, because if I stick my tounge in the open part of the tooth and suck on it I get blood out of it.
As I said before I brush twice or more a day and I have rinsed with Listerine and flossed and sometimes gargle peroxide
I also have four of my baby teeth, the canines

What is the best home remedy for whitening teeth?

Posted on January 3, 2011

I've used Crest White Strips (Professional Effects) and they didn't give me much results. Plus, they gave me REALLY bad tooth sensitivity. I need something that I can use at home and not have to buy. Preferably something that won't harm my gums or cause tooth sensitivity. I don't need to make them white in a huge hurry. But I'd rather not have to continue it for a year before seeing results. haha. Also, if you brush your teeth after every meal, would that help to whiten them?

Do I have gingivitis or just a bad tooth ache?

Posted on December 31, 2010

Ok so one of my molars is chipped and decayed pretty bad! I'm in need to get it extracted. I have a lot of pain coming from that tooth and my gums on that side top and bottom sometimes hurt. My otherside of mouths gums is fine doesn't hurt at all. Just went to the dentist and the dental hygenist said I have a bad case of gingivitis cuz of my gums inflammed. But could this be due to the bad tooth? My gums don't bleed when I brush and my other side gums do not hurt. Is this accurate? And if it is what's the best toothpaste and mouthwash to get for gingivitis?

why have i got such a bad tooth ache?

Posted on September 9, 2010

On friday i had to go to the dentist. i thought i had a chipped tooth and he filled it and said that ive got weak enamel. since friday i have had a bad tooth ache that keeps coming and going from where i got the filling done. i don't need to take any tablets but its really annoying me. Could it be my wisdom teeth coming in.
I have another filling as well where i chipped my tooth from years ago.
Both the fillings i got where i chipped it are Amalgam
When ive got my fillings done before i have not had pain like this

Is there a way to get a dental procedure covered by medical insurance rather than dental?

Posted on September 2, 2010

I have alot of dental problems, i need 15 crowns on the top alone just basic bad tooth enamel. Its not from brushing or flossing since i do that daily. I have dental insurance but not as good as my medical. So is there a way to get it submitted through medical.
I don't have delta dental in my state though. And the dentist i go to requires it paid at the time of service.

safe, painless tooth-whitening?

Posted on August 29, 2010

I would like to whiten my teeth but I have heard horror stories of tooth-whitening treatments causing pretty bad tooth pain and sensitivity. Is there such a thing as tooth-whitening that doesn't hurt and also won't irritate/damage gums?

Thanks!

I am dating a girl who has pretty bad breath. Details and Q below?

I don't know what's causing it, but I notice she has at least one pretty bad tooth. The smell even seems to come when she's breathing through her nose, which is weird. Anyway, other than the breath, I really like her. So... questions...
1. Would bad teeth cause breath to smell bad even exhaling through the nose? It smells almost like fertilizer!
2. What else might be causing it?
3. How might I TELL her, or do something about it. get her to take some action against it?

Beer and Acid Erosion?

Posted on July 28, 2010

Im in my teens and suffer from relatively bad tooth acid erosion (though you cant tell). I dont drink any acid drinks because of my new diet etc,...

But does Beers and alcholic drinks like, San Miguel, stella, carlsberg, carling etc give you acid erosion?

I ask because its the most popular drink when your out!

And does anyone know if you can get any protective covers or see-through protective layer which you can put on your teeth? (Dont say gumshield... lol)
