Does green tea keep its health benefits when using microwaved water?

It's easier than boiling water every time. Just wondering if it affects the amount of antioxidants and other health benefits you get out of it or something.

is tap water good or bad for you?

Posted on March 10, 2011

ive heard alot of stuff on this subject, like some people saying the fluoride in water is bad for you, some say its good for your teeth, some people say tap water isnt filtered enough, me i like drinking water, and ive drank tap water most of the time, and bottled water when im out now and then, but my question is this, do you think its good or bad for you to drink tap water?

ALSO if i start boiling the tap water, will that kill any bacteria or germs or whatever is it the water? because everytime im drinking tap water im thinkin i might be drinking bacteria that i cant see and i dont feel comfortable with it anymore, i dont trust it.

So from now on, im going to boil water first, then put it in the fridge for a while and that will clean anything bad in it, and make it cold to drink, is this a good idea or what? because im doin it now anyways xD

so what do you drink? what do you think about tap water, bottled water and even boiling water!? i mean in survival situations, they boil the water to kill anything bad inside, sure tap water has been filtered but stuff still gets through, the little germs and bacteria, its bound to get through eh? so by boiling the water first im absolutely killing everything in the water, its already been filtered, so why waste money on another filter? just boil it all i think its a good idea, and its also good to do what you feel is right, just because everyone has tap water doesnt mean its good for you. Gotta look after yourself right?

Cold Sore Question Regarding Toothbrush?

Posted on February 7, 2011

I have a cold sore right now, and usually I throw away the toothbrush after each use. However, I've had this sore coupled with a very annoying cold (go figure) so I didn't go to the store to stock up on cheap disposable tooth brushes.

I was wondering, if I put my toothbrush into boiling water is it safe to reuse it? Or will I still run the risk of recontaminating myself and have another cold sore breakout?

How do I disinfect my Invisalign trays if I have strep throat?

Posted on January 11, 2011

I have a pretty bad case of it...but like a week left of this set of Invisalign trays. They say to change your toothbrush 24 hours after taking antibiotics in order to prevent re-infecting yourself. How do I disinfect my trays without damaging them? I know that heat can hurt them, since they're basically plastic materials...so no boiling water. I'm concerned that something like alcohol may not be good for them...
