Foods Good for Healthy Bones

Posted on August 4, 2011

Foods Good for Healthy Bones - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. The foods that are good for maintaining healthy bones, we always think about calcium and dairy products. But, truly, calcium and dairy products is not easily absorbed into the body, so it is not an ideal source. Some easily absorbed calcium foods that you probably do not think about are: broccoli. Broccoli has a lot of calcium in it, and people do not usually think about that, but adding broccoli into your diet increases that absorbed calcium. Dark leafy greens, like kale and dandelion greens, are a great source of easily absorbed calcium. Chestnuts: chestnuts and hazelnuts are actually a good source of calcium. These are not nuts that we usually eat, but try adding those into your diet for that good source of calcium. 3 oz can of sardines with the bones actually has more calcium in it than a glass of milk, and it is more easily absorbed. And then, the other fish is canned pink salmon, again, with the bones. You can use this to make salmon cakes, you can put that salmon onto a salad. So, these are five sort of unusual forms of calcium that you do not really think about.

Severe lower back pain after pregnancy – how can I get rid of it?

Posted on May 18, 2011

Is there any specific exercise or method to get rid of extreme lower back pain? I got it during my pregnancy and it doesn't seem to go away. I know it's not because of my weight because I have been having it since I got pregnant, not when I gained weight. My bones are all messed up back there. I've been to a physical therapist but my bone always goes back to the wrong place (sideways). What should I do?
RIA: thank you for your answer. I think I have the same problem you had. I could scream when I turn. It's good to know its specific name because maybe I can find more info on it, thanks again!
Shelley: I've tried that too (3 times)...it didn't made much difference. Does that mean I'll need a surgery? No matter where I go, doctors tell me they can't help. Well, they are not the ones who can't get up in the morning without help.

...natural tan?

It is a great disinfectant, heals pus-filled pimples and open wounds, and is the best, natural source of Vitamin D, so your bones and teeth stay in good shape even in old age. And, to top it all, it even enhances the skin colour of a person. You have to admit that a tan signifies an active life. It makes you LOOK youthful and sexy even if you aren't so.

Is sharp pain in leg rooted to back pain in reality?

Posted on March 8, 2011

I suffer from sharp pain in my feet sometimes. Specially the arch and ankle. I dont have sprain or anything, nor have i pulled any muscles. But i read somewhere, if you have a chronic back pain, or herniated disc then your feet or sometimes leg can have pain. I have Xrayed my back, the bones are fine. I am going for an MRI Scan next week. How true is this theory i dont know.
