I need canker sores cures?

Posted on April 24, 2011

I have a canker sore on my tongue and one on the inside of my lip. Lots of times I will put a lot I mean a LOT of salt on my canker sores and it kind of numbs them and kind of makes them go away. But what is a really fast way to get rid od canker sores FAST? swishing salt water doesn't work. Neither does orajel. Also what causes canker sores. Sometimes I will get one on the inside of my mouth in my lip or on my cheek and I don't every remember bite-ing myself while eating or talking.

Canker Sores – Repeatedly?

Posted on April 19, 2011

This is long, but please bare with me, this gets old real fast.

A few months ago I had a sore throat etc. and the doctors thought it might be mono. Then a few mornings later I noticed one little bump on the tip of my tongue. The same night I noticed that bump I noticed another canker sore on my cheek. Within 3 hours they had spread throughout my mouth. I literally had at least 15 sores in my mouth. I woke up the next morning and a few had gone down so I only had about 6 or 7.

I went to the doctors again and they told me it was herpes and put me on acyclovir. The acyclovir didn't help and eventually the sores went away by themselves. A few weeks later I got more sores again. Six at once again. Those also went away, no thanks to acyclovir and I went back to the doctors who then decided it wasn't herpes but just regular canker sores and that I was "out of luck" basically.

Three weeks ago, my dad asked me how my mouth was and I noticed I was getting another one.
Within the next few days I had more sores. These prevent me from eating a lot of foods and even talking normally so you can see why it would be annoying.

Anyway, I decided that it might be from eating deviled eggs, since each time I have gotten the sores I had eaten eggs before. So we tried making some to see if my sores would get worse (figured it wouldn't kill me). They did get worse so I have been staying away from eggs.

Those sores went away but the next day I had more sores in the same spot as I had a few times before. I am VERY sick of having to watch what I eat and pay attention to what side of my mouth I eat on etc. So if anyone know's what this might be or has had a similar problem, please let me know.

Additional Information:
-I've tried just about every over the counter medication, including salt water.
-I've started taking vitamins.
-I'm not stressed.

Thank you to anyone who actually read this.

Canker Sores and a sinus infection at same time? Need Advice?

Posted on April 17, 2011

Okay, so two days before I came down with a sinus infection I developed a canker sore on the soft palet in my mouth. Well now I have one in my cheek as well as on the inner side of my lower lip. I get canker sores about once or twice a month, but never more than one at a time. To top it off, I have a sinus infection and my glands in my throat are swollen.
Is there any connection between the sores and the sinus infection?
What can cause three to break out at once??
And can the cancer sores become infected since they are open?
Third: What can I eat? I can't get anything textured down at all, not even potatos because the canker sore hurts too much. Even vegi soup hurts.
I'm miserable.

Are these canker sores or something more serious?

Posted on April 12, 2011

Hello,

About a week ago I had one canker sore on my bottom lip, then it was just about cleared up and I got another one right next to it. I have had canker sores in the past and they've come and go with no problem. But shortly after my second canker sore, my mouth was feeling sore in certain places. It seems as though I have canker sores on the bottom of my front lip where my cheek meets my gums and on my top lip where my cheek meets my gums as well but on the sides. Also, I believe I have them in the back of my mouth on both sides of my tongue. I also feel something when I swallow on the right side. Its been 4 days since they all really formed and they are very bothersome right now. My tongue feels as it does if I had burned it on something. It hurts towards the back not at the tip. I have been putting Alum on the canker sores, I just started doing that today and they seem to have really come to a head and I can see all of them very clear now. Are all of these really canker sores or is this something more serious? Here are some pictures I took...

Thanks, Dan
I have been eating a ton of peanut butter sandwiches and I use a lot of peanut butter and I have also been drinking a ton of Minute maid berry punch. I assumed the acid from the drink and the peanut butter sparked this to happen?

Gum irritation from Canker sores?

Posted on April 8, 2011

Ok, background: a week ago I had a flu like symptoms- fever, body aches, sore throat bla bla bla. Fever went away after 24hrs along with body aches, sore throat did not. Dr said no strep, just a severe sore throat.(started warm salt water 3+ times a day as soon as sore throat presented itself.)
The next day I see/feel a canker sore starting to build, then by the end of the day I see 4. By morning I see multiple on my tongue and inner mouth starting to build up ( I have never had more than one at a time in my lifetime- i'm 41) About the this time, my gums around my teeth ( which I have no issues) start to get real sore, including the roof of my mouth is tender/swollen too. The next morning, I have multiple full blown canker sores, my gums hurt when I brush my teeth so much that it was almost impossible to brush. I am still doing the warm salt water, and have added hydrogen peroxide to my routine. It's been almost a week, some of the canker sores are starting to disapate, some are not, and the gums although better are still sore to brush. A few questions:
- Is it common for the gums and roof of the mouth to get that tender from canker sores?
- why would the gums get inflamed from canker sores that are on the tongue, inner lip, and cheek?
- will to much hydrogen peroxide rinsing cause this gum irritation? ( I know it's a stretch...)
- Once the canker sores are gone, will the gumm irritation go away too?

I appreciate anyone's input, especially if this has happened to you.
And yes, I know I should go to my dentist, but I'm on the road working til Christmas. So if that is your answer, thanks, but I understand that..... thank you all again.

Canker Sores after flying?

Posted on April 5, 2011

I just got home from Texas yesterday and when i got home, or at least a few hours later i realized i have one (the other accumulated today).... I have a canker sore on the left side and on the upper right side. The upper right is more of a floppy kind of sore (the part of the mouth where there is so much cheek it just bunches up) and i was wondering if yall thought this was a canker sore or some other thing. The other one is completely normal. Is the one on the upper right just floppy because of its placement or what?

Canker sores, or what?

Posted on April 1, 2011

My mouth started to hurt about 2 hours ago. I just looked in my mouth and there are three red bumps with white centers. Two on my top gum and one on the bottom of my cheek. I assume these are canker sores...but why did I suddenly get three? And how can I get rid of them?

urgent help for extreme canker sores!?

Posted on March 29, 2011

I get the absolute WORST canker sores. Right now, I have one on my cheek, and it is making my face swollen. It's embarrassing, and not to mention painful! I've tried everything! baking soda, salt, listerine, everything. Is there anything I could try that will heal it faster? The pain is the one thing that I need to get rid of as soon as possible
