Lines in teeth?!! PLEASE HELP?

Posted on September 4, 2011

I was away camping last week at a campground and while brushing my teeth one night I noticed a whitish, almost clear line in my bottom middle tooth. It's towards the top of my tooth, not near the gum line. It is with my acid erosion but is more down into the tooth. It doesn't hurt but it's scaring me. That came day I brushed my teeth fairly hard because someone had said they were noticing plaque in my teeth so I scratched it off with my tooth brush. I suffer from paranoia so it made me panic and my mouth hurt and everything but when my mind was on something else it didn't hurt, with my condition that means that it doesn't actually hurt, I just think it does. When I shine a light on it, there's a line the whole way down my tooth that looks like a crack but definitely isn't because I can't feel it no matter how hard I try.
Last night after arriving home I noticed that there was a tiny tiny line like the other one on a tooth 2 teeth away. This morning after getting up my gums feel swollen but I can't determine if they are or aren't because they do not look swollen, just feel it, and this may just be my paranoia.
I am going to make an appointment with a dentist, however I am TERRIFIED of the dentist and the thought of it makes me shake, I will go, I know I have to, but an idea of what is wrong would really help. I refuse to chew on those teeth because I am scared that it will make them worse. The lines aren't chalky, they look like thick pieces of acid erosion, but in the middle of my teeth, with no other erosion immediately surrounding it.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!

For Women, What do men look gorgeous in?

Posted on May 11, 2011

I think that men in the coat and tails...look "dashing" and really hot! LOL! I also think that dockers and straightleg blue and or black levi jeans look hot too! They also look wonderful in great crew neck sweaters and nice shirts...(I have to be really honest here,...I can't stand the baggy pants, hangin' so low, you can see the guys butt!) HATE that look! So UGLY! and I also can't stand the sweat pants(with no underwear underneath...trust me, I am NOT stupid their body's are soooo visible! Gross! They need to "grow up"! I also can't stand the butt crack either(lol!)or "falling pants syndrome"!LOL! I also think that those hair nets or whatever that thing is that fellas wear...it makes them look like a mugger! Why can't they leave that out of their style? Oh, and the Gold teeth? Give me a break! I love teeth...but natural teeth, looks sexier....the gold caps...they make you look like you have a mouth full of "dirty teeth"! Honest! It makes me think of decaying teeth.!

What is the best electric toothbrush for someone with lots of crowding teeth?

Posted on September 26, 2010

I haven't gotten braces yet so my bottom teeth are really messed up. There's just not enough room for all those teeth down there. There's are a ton of adult teeth coming in behind my baby teeth. So, as you could guess, it's a madhouse down there with my small jaw with no room and too many teeth growing every-which-way, so i have a lot of little spaces where my teeth come together to make corners or overlap and make a little crack where all this plaque is building up and whenever i go to the dentist they tell me that i have a lot of build-up in those cracks and i always tell them i will try harder but i only do that while i remember that i need to try harder. So a couple days.
At my last dental check-up my dentist asked me if i used an electric toothbrush then made a weird face when i told her i didn't. Then later on a totally different subject she told me that i, once again, had a lot of build-up in my bottom row, she told me that i probably brushed like any kid with more average teeth should but that because my bottom row was so full of these little build-up spots i needed to work harder at brushing so now i think it is time for an electric brush to help me out but i need one that will work well in my build-up spots. Anyone that's the same way and has a toothbrush that works? Or does anyone just know about this and knows a brush that will work. Battery powered would be the best but it's ok if it's just re-chargable. Thanks in advance!

How to care for my bonded tooth?

Posted on September 17, 2010

In December 2006, in a sports accident I had my front tooth broken in half horizontally.- next day it was thankfully bonded back on. - you can obviously see the difference through the colour I was wondering how I should care for the tooth. When I look closely now I can see the line where The crack goes across. (-dont know if that was visible before, like if the bonding covered it or not since I didnt really check). I've had a custom mouthguard made for me for sports which I use during every sport now. I dont bite into ANYTHING with my front teeth (no sandwhiches, etc) I only eat foods I can cut and places directly past the tooth. I have been using a powered crest spinbrush toothbrush with an extra soft head and Colgate Total and Crest Pro-Health. How should i be caring for and maybe help the tooth heal itself? I've really been considering this and am probably getting it tomorrow... Colgate Luminous toothpaste. It is supposed to contain minerals to help restore tooth enamal! Opinions?
I think its "bonded," I dont knew exactly what they did but they re-attached the broken part of the tooth to the top part of the tooth which was still intact (dint know the name for what they did, but I heard something about bonding and they also mentioned they dont know how long it will hold, maybe forever maybe a very short time... confusing!!). Also, the texture is somewhat different on the portion of the re-attached tooth.
kind of going along with the first answer
... I actually found the piece that was broken off and they used THAT piece of the tooth and put that back on, not a composite, its the actual piece! I can tell because it has a certain small spot where its a bit discolored from before. And when I went in after that to take my impression for my mouthguard, the assistant that did the impression told me it could be like a broken bone and may take up to 6 months to heal. The dentist said that since Im still young and have good blood flow through my teeth it could heal or something. (When the piece was broken off, and was found and taken back home for the night, I kept it in milk to not dry it out or anything and they were actually able to use that piece even though the assistant almost laughed at us when we said we saved the tooth and said they cant do anything with it when we came in, but she ended up helping the dentist use that piece, I bet she felt dumb)
