why do people with straight teeth think theyre better then people with crocked teeth?

constantly i hear people say they think people with crocked teeth (not rotten or decayed) are disgusting, they wouldn't kiss them or in no way find them attractive, why are people like this, aren't we all just human and isn't it our personality that matters, are looks so important in life?
interesting comments everyone, some people said that crocked teeth are not nice to look at, but who cares? im not talking about decayed teeth, im talking about crocked and saying that i don't want to look at crocked teeth is just ridiculous its not like the person chose to have crocked teeth is it?
