gingivitis? itchy gums?
I keep flossing at least 3 times/day and twice brushing so that I make sure I keep good dental hygiene. I just did my last prophylaxis in January ,but I still feel itchy in my gum for around 2 weeks ( swollen and looks pumped) .There's no bleeding anywayz either on my toothbrush or floss. So what the problem is it?
i'dont think there's infecion cuz there's no bleeding or puss coming out.
I think I have gingivitis on my teeth, my gums are inflamed and have 1 blister, do i need to go to the dentist?
I make a good habit of brushing and flossing, I practice good dental hygiene, however my gums are inflamed on the top and bottom, and I have developed blisters, I looked around on the internet and have found out that these are all symptoms of gingivitis. However, my question is if I will need to see a dentist for a deep cleaning, or can I solve this with further brushing, flossing, and mouth wash at home?
Is it possible to reverse gingivitis?
I've had gingivitis (swollen/red gums) pretty much my entire life. I've always had pretty good dental hygiene, but I never flossed or use mouthwash regularly. When I would go to the dentist, flossing would be very painful and I would bleed a lot.
I have made reasonable efforts to try and reverse my gum problem. I picked up an electric toothbrush, ~90 floss picks and some mouthwash. By brushing with an electric brush 2-3 times a day, flossing twice a day and using mouthwash twice a day, can I reverse gingivitis? Like I said earlier, its been a problem of mine almost my whole life
What are the benefits of Gingivectomy?
I had extensive gingivitis due to negligence of dental hygiene. I had plaque removed by the dentist. After a few weeks the periodontist remove some of the gingiva with the use of a cauterizer and put some white substance as a bandage. What do you call this white substance? What is the procedure in doing gingivectomy? What are the advantages and disadvantages of this? What will the periodontist do after a week?
