Lower back pain and missed period, defiantly not pregnant?

Posted on May 25, 2011

I've been having a dull ache in my lower back right in the middle. I don't think its my kidneys. Also I don't have a regular period I will menstruate for 6 months regularly and then go 4 to 6 months without having a period at all. My back pain seems to come on when I am not having my period. I don't have any medical insurance and not much money saved up so I don't want to go to the doctor if it's nothing serious.
I am 30 years old.

Should I see a doctor about my back pain?

Posted on May 12, 2011

Back has been hurting for over a month. Upper lefthand side of my back-- the ribs. It hurts especially when I sneeze (AH!), cough, hiccup, or inhale deeply. I've seen a chiropractor twice, he adjusted me-- but it seemed to make my back worse. I have a dull ache in my back at all times now, and a sharp pain whenever I sneeze, cough, etc. Will this go away on its own?
Johnny...you made me laugh. Thanks for that.

Why do I get lower back pain after drinking alcohol?

Posted on April 27, 2011

Hi, I am a 26 year old female and everytime I drink alcohol I get really bad lower back pain. I don't have chronic pain but when I drink, even just one drink, I get a dull ache in the small of my back and the only way to relieve it is to lay on the floor. Is it possible that I'm alergic to alcohol? Please help!!!

What is the best position to sleep in if I have lower back pain?

It's not specifically pain, I just have a recurring dull ache, and I don't think that my sleeping position helps with it much. Is there one which is more partial to easing tension in my lower back?

Back pain…?

Posted on December 17, 2010

I've been having general back pain for the last 2 years or so. I have been diagnosed with scoliosis, but it is mild enough that my doctor would not recommend PT. However, the pain is a dull ache throughout my back, worsening in the lumbar (lower) section. Can someone please recommend any effect home remedies, exercises or anything else that might reduce the pain?

Tooth pain from grinding? HELP!?

Posted on December 7, 2010

Tuesday morning I woke up with a very slightly chipped bottom front tooth, which was sensitive to hot/cold, etc. I could tell some of my top front tooth was chipped as well. I went into the dentist that morning, had x-rays taken and the teeth looked at. At the time, my top front tooth did not hurt at all. However, the dental hygenist started pushing at it and poking at it and it THEN started hurting.

The dentist said that my xrays were fine and there wasn't any reason to bond or put a crown on my tooth because no nerves were exposed. Basically, he said that everything would be fine, but he prescribed me some fluoride toothpaste to ease the tooth sensitivity and improve my teeth's enamel since I grind my teeth.

Ever since that visit my top front tooth has hurt pretty much nonstop. It doesn't hurt bad enough to keep me from going to sleep at night and when I first wake up in the morning it doesn't hurt! But as the day progesses it begins to hurt more and more!

I've called the dentist back and they encouraged me to take Advil, or the equivalent, for pain as needed. They said if it still hurt in a week to call them back because I might need to be seen by a specialist.

Well next week is Thanksgiving and I'm going to be out of town so I'm desperately seeking some clarification as to WHAT this could be! The pain is a dull ache, on or in, my front tooth. At it's worst it feels slightly searing. It does NOT effect my gums at all. I can eat just fine, but I am avoiding that area.

Please help!

What would cause a tooth to ache badly?

Posted on August 21, 2010

My back left molar(s) hurt. It actually throbs and pulses with pain, however, i can also feel it in my jaw. It doesn't hurt more or less based on the pressure I apply to my tooth, but it does seem to be sensitive to hot and cold. The pain comes and goes, but when it is present its a sharp throbbing pain with a dull ache in the background. I don't think its a cavity, however, I am going to a dentist soon to get that checked. I have been to two different dentists: one told me I was having phantom pains (basically said it was in my head) and the other told me that it was due to gum erosion and so I started using sensitive tooth paste. I have noticed it hurts less often, but it hasn't had a huge effect. Recently (its fall, changing seasons) it has started to act up again but only every few hours. What could possibly cause this? I'm thinking it could be nerve related? Has this happened to any of you before and if so what did you do to treat it? Thank you.
