what is a safe, effective over the counter teeth whitening system?

Posted on December 24, 2010

I am looking for something that will not hurt the enamel on my teeth. Any suggestions?
I'm really poor. So I cannot really afford to go to the dentist.

perfecta 16% + tanning bed = Major effects?

Posted on December 23, 2010

i got my braces off a few months ago, and they gave me a 2 week supply of Perfecta 16% tooth whitening gel.

i put a dab in my retainer (clear & invisalign-like) into the front 8 teeth both on the top and bottom, this stuff strips enamel so my teeth get sensitive, so i use like 3 days worth every couple weeks...

ive seen "twilight teeth" online (whitens while you tan) and i was wondering if i go tanning with the perfecta in if it would produce movie star- with teeth?

if any one has any clues please tell me if not im going to not do it and buy "luster 1-hour white" ( whitenupnow.com )

Is it necessary for me to use 2 mouthwashes?

Posted on December 18, 2010

I am currently using 2 mouthwashes. One is Crest Pro-Health rinse to help fight gingivitis and prevent bad breath and the other is Act restoring mouthwash to help strengthen the enamel on my teeth and prevent cavities. Is it necessary for me to use both of them or is there one mouthwash/rinse that will do both of these things? I've had a lot of dental work done so I'm just trying to cover all my bases.

Is brushing your teeth with baking soda bad for them?

Posted on December 14, 2010

I want to make my teeth whiter and i've heard this is the way to go,
but wouldn't the baking soda be bad for your enamel and gums?

I don't want to do anything that could be harmful to them cos my family has a history of weak teeth and I have them too and want to take good care of them..
