Do you brush your teeth with toothpaste?
I just moved to United States from Europe and my roomates use toothpaste to brush their teeth. I've only used a brush without toothpaste my whole life. Is the toothpaste an American thing or what? My teeth are in good shape too. So my question is.. Do you use toothpaste in is it really necessary?

Can I use plain baking soda or mixed with salt everyday as a toothpaste to avoid poisons in regular toothpaste
Regular toothpaste has fluoride and sodium laurel sulfate in it and I'd rather avoid these toxins.
50 reasons to avoid fluoride---> http://fluoridealert.org/50-reasons.htm
So, will baking soda used everyday cause any damage to my teeth like wear away the enamel. Please post a link so I can double check if you can.
Thanks.
Tom's of Maine unfortunately has sodium laurel sulfate in it and it is quite expensive. The other healthy brands that don't have these two chemicals are expensive too.
Fluoride is a gradual thing. A tiny bit everyday for years adds up in your system leading to health problems in the future. They do fluoridate water, but it is highly controversial and many people want it stopped. Many, many scientists do not approve of this practice and much of Europe has stopped it because of the research that is available. Filters are also available to remove fluoride.
Should I sue Toothpaste or mouth wash company?
Okay there is the deal. When I lived in Europe then my tooth were perfectly fine. I didn't had any problems. I also got my tooth's checked before I moved to the US. After I was being in US almost 3 months, my teeth started to go in bad condition (I washed them regularly twice a day like when I lived in EU). Then I got gum disease after that. But I also noticed something. In US, the water and toothpastes and mouth washes contains way more fluoride then the water in Europe. So I read one scientific article about fluoride. It says that fluoridation has dangerous long-term consequences to health etc. http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/fluoride.htm. But I can't afford a dental medical for my self (or my parents can't because they both got new cars and they have other big loans etc). My dad also had the same problem, his tooth started to fall out when he moved to here.
And it fu**ing hurts. I feel pressure under my teeth, it doesn't hurts actually but it feels very uncomfortable and it makes me angry. And we are living in the world most "strongest, richest, powerful etc" country which even can't afford free dental health care people who at at least under 21, but we can fight in Middle East and spend Multi billion dollars. I wish I could move back to the Europe and have a free or cheap dental health care but I can't because I'm in college in here.
I'm going to college in here etc* stupid typos.
how can i order or buy parodontax toothpaste in the United States for a reasonable price?
Im from Europe, and have terrible gum issues. Back there I used parodontax toothpaste which is the only thing which kinda helped me at least a bit. I cannot find it in the US. On place i found it is about 14$ +7$ shipping so i think its a bit too much for a toothpaste.
