small problem with this mental health center?
I have PDD-NOS and when I was about 14 my parents brought be to a health center that specializes in autism. Lets call the place X. Anyway, my parents were always directly involved in my treatment. After a few years the treatment ended.
It was not till I was about 18-19 years old that I decided myself to look for help. The doctor refered me to center X. I was the one being treated and I explicitly told them that I didn't want my parents involved or that they were told that I was going there.
I was still living at home, and was recieving letters from the center. On the envelope it was also clear that it was from the center X. My parents would inevitably get to know that I was being treated there. I thought and think that this is very insensitive of the people working there. Apart from only me getting letters, my parents themselves also recieved an invitation to one of the group sessions I was following- all unknown to me until my parents mentioned it.
I decided not to .....
Continue my treatment there. Further treatments were at more general centers.
Now, about 9 years later my psychologist wants me to go to center X to follow social trainings program for people with autism.
One or two of the same people are still working there. I don't know what to do. On one hand it would be great to get more treatment, on the other hand I have very bad experiences with them. Back then they had no respect for me.
What should I do?
Is there a way to report bad health care at a corporate dialysis center?
The dialysis center is a Davita center. I have a friend on dialysis and she is always telling me about her experiences and it really sounds like they are providing substandard care. Some of the things they have done, they could have killed my friend! My friend has lodged complaints with the Dr (non-Davita) and with the center itself, but nothing has really improved. Is there a way that I can help? Any suggestions?
My friend lives in a rural area so no other options for dialysis.
Since Davita is corporate now, the Dr's don't really have authority over Davita, but they can raise a fuss in the management of their patient's care.
I am a former dialysis patient so I know what my friend is going through.
I am an attorney, but I don't practice health care law, so I am not sure of the options.

What is best toothpaste for gingivitis and bleeding gums?
What is best toothpaste out there for this? I was going to use CREST PRO HEALTH..but I read many complaints people having inside of mouth and gums peeling, blistering, sores, and burning when and long after using. Anyone had this experience with Crest Pro Health...I am scared to try or use it after reading all this bad experiences from it. What other good toothpaste is there that is medicated to help gingivitis and bleeding gums.
Gingivitis? Please Help?
Lately, when I floss, the gums in one area of my mouth starts to bleed. All of my other teeth/gums seem to be alright, but it's just that one. I don't think I feel any looseness in my teeth, but the gums in that area look pretty weak whenever I floss. I've been told they're tender, as they bleed whenever I touch them with the floss, and also a bit swollen so I'm pretty sure it's inflammation. I've been brushing 3 times a day, using floss and mouthwash but the problem doesn't seem to go away. As far as I know, it hasn't been getting much worse, if at all. I'm visiting the dentist in a few days, but I'm totally freaked out about this (I'm very paranoid when it comes to things like this); I'm 18 and I reeeaally don't want to lose my teeth. Did anybody else have this? What are your experiences with it? And if proper care is taken, can my gums heal/re-tighten, etc? Thanks in advance guys :)
What are possible causes for my lower back and leg pain?
I'm 22 and since about a year ago, I've been having lower back pain that's been getting worst. I don't do sports and there was no injury to the area. It comes and goes but it's causing me more pain now and the pain is also in my legs. The pain is worst when I lie down at night and its a sharp pain radiating to a dull pain. The leg pain feels like nerve pain and it's been making my legs very weak and I have trouble walking at times. I also get this weird tingling sensation in my lower body and it makes my legs weak and knees buckle. I've been to several doctors and they told me it was muscle pain at first, told me to exercise, and gave me anti-inflammatory meds. None of that worked, and they are having xrays dones and my CT scan is schedule for monday. I'm pretty nervous, and the doctory said she does not know what it is without the test results and does not know what the problem could be. Anyone have similar experiences and can tell me what it was or any ideas what it could be?
Will CT scans always be helpful to find out problems relating to my back pain? Seems like some of you think that I should not be getting a CT scan. What is the worst possible problem that could be causing my pain? I just want to be prepared. I don't do any lifting or heavy exercise, so the slipped disc thing seems weird... Does it just happen?

Will a chiropractor help with back pain?
I have back pain from bulging discs. I get periodic pain that may last for a couple of days and there are periods of several weeks without pain. I am seeking others experiences with chiropractic sessions. Is there hope to relieve this pain some with a chiropractor?

I was going to go to BriteSmile and get my teath professionally cleaned until I found out that it needs to be repeated pretty often and at the price I just can't afford that.
