Is it normal to experience weakness in your legs soon after being diagnosed type 1 diabetes?
Two months or so ago, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. A few days ago (and a little bit for a few weeks), I started getting this awful weakness in my legs and arms. Sometimes it feels like they're heavy, like I'll flip. Or they're too light and I'll flip over. It feels like I'm going to fall down. I know this is something that can come out of diabetes... but this is really soon! Is it even related? Should I call my doctor/educators? How do they treat this?

What could cause elevated ketone levels in the bloodstream OTHER than diabetes?
Other than diabetes, what other conditions, factors, or causes could there be for having elevated levels of ketone in the bloodstream?
Excessive starvation is also not an option.

Thank you Doxy, there is no alcohol in my home and my cat is indoor only. The vet is research the situation with the university and we hope to have an answer in the next few days. Thanks for your comments, I appreciate them.

DIY smiley piercing? A little advice?
Before anyone starts bashing me , I know what I am doing . The needle is/will be sterilized with a flame , then put in alcohol .
Anyway I have a few questions? -- I only plan to wear the smiley for a few days , because I know it can cause gum erosion and how it will probably reject. So i just wanted to have some fun with it.
- Can you compare the pain to anything? // If you have yours done?
- Does it matter exactly where the piercing is put on the piece of skin/gum material? ( i dont remember the word )
- Is it hard to get the needle through?
- I smoke , Does the smoke bother it .
- I also brush my teeth , lol . Does toothpaste bother it?

How do i relieve back pain quickly?
I have been riding fourwheelere for like 3 days (7 hours straight take a drink break 7 more hours straight) And starting yesterday i have had this back pain (higher and lower back) And it hurts to go over bumps (medium sized bumps) And please dont say stop riding for a few days because i am trying to get in shape for our vacation?? what can i do?
Who has some suggestions for braces colors?
I get braces next week. I've spent the past few days watching every single YouTube video involving braces so I don't need to know about the procedures. What I want is some color suggestions. Not that I can't think for myself, I'm just highly confused if my ideas will look Ok on my teeth. I was considering doing yellow and black, so that it's the color combo of black, yellow and white. In the past, I've heard to avoid white at all costs. I want to get very light blue and sea foam green, but I'm afraid they won't make my teeth look whiter. I also think that navy is a little bit overrated when it comes to braces. I also plan on wearing my school colors (Navy and yellow) at football season, but yet I hear that yellow is bad. I won't look like a freak, though, considering that everyone puts those colors on their braces then. I won't get red and black as a combo. Thx. :P
Can the bacteria which causes wisdom tooth infection (or antibiotics used to treat) cause canker sores?
I am wondering because I developed a cold sore-looking thing on my lip after having one of my wisdom teeth infected and then taking Amoxicillin for a few days.
Are these two things related? Thanks!
I want to know the mechanics of lower back pain.?
I've search all the sites and they all talk about how it happens or why it happens, or how to address it, but none talk about the mechanics of lower back pain.
I want to know why, one day, I'm fine, the next day I do something athletic, and my lower back hurts like hell. In this pain mode, I'm basically crippled. But its wierd because there is nothing mechanical I can feel wrong. Where and how does the pain manifest itself ? Nerve damage perhaps, but then, why in a few days does it go away ?

I am a runner with constant lower right back pain when pressure is applied to right foot. What's going on?
I have a constant pain for the last few days when pressure is applied to my foot. I got into my 4th mile Fri and had to stop due to the pain. I have since been using the elliptical which seems not to bother me! I am 26 yrs old and feel as if i'm to young to have back pains lol. It even pains when walking! Any advice or similiar pains from anyone else?
Canker sores after oral sex?
I performed oral sex on a guy a few days ago, and I now have two canker sores. They're pretty tiny, and located on different parts of my mouth. One on my upper lip, but on the inside part of it, towards the inside of my mouth where it is not visible with my mouth closed, and the other is on the inside of my cheek. I'm wondering if this is common or if it has happened to anyone else. I've always gotten canker sores here and there when I was younger, but everytime I give oral sex now, I get at least one canker sore. Although, it has always been with the same guy, so it's not like it has been with multiple partners. Does anyone have any insight to this situation?
