multiple canker sores at once?

Posted on May 8, 2011

A few days ago, I started getting these canker sores on my inner lower lip. I've tried rinsing with mouthwash which numbs them but they're still there. I've gotten them one at a time before, probably once every couple of months. However, now I have 4 or 5 in a line on my lower lip. It's painful, irritable and quite gross. I feel a couple more might appear on the top inner lip. This worries and saddens me..any guesses why a mass influx of canker sores decided to befall me? :(

Recurring canker sores?

Posted on April 28, 2011

The past few months i've been getting a lot of canker sores, like ill get one or two, and then they go away in a few days, then a couple days later i'll get 1 or 2 more for a few days.

also, only like twice has this happened, and it goes away overnight, but i get 2 dark red spots on the inside of my bottom lip, like when i pull out my bottom lip and look inside, and they feel weird when my tongue touches them

also i have a cut/ canker sore (dont know which it is) on the side of my tongue which is really painful

also sometimes i get canker sores that look like small white/clear pimples, and they dont hurt, i just feel them with my teeth and they are weird

what is going on??? thank u :)

Woooooa how did this happen?

Chronic back pain and now breathing problem help?

Posted on April 22, 2011

For several months i have had severe lower back pain. Scans and tests have thus far shown nothing too serious, and treatment is proving ineffective. I have also been nauseas, with stomach cramps and diarrhea. The last few days the pain has been so bad my doctor wants to admit me to hospital next week for pain management. A few hours ago, while lying in bed, my upper back suddenly is sore, and feels heavy, like someone is sitting on my back, which is also making breathing, not so much difficult, but i feel as though im not getting enough oxygen. Ideas?

Questions about canker sores?

Posted on April 22, 2011

I kid you not, everytime I get a cut in my lip, no matter how small, it ALWAYS turns into a canker sore! It irritates me to no end, but I can usually put up with it. However, I wanted to know if this is normal??? I know everyone gets canker sores, but do they get one EVERY time they get a tiny cut or bump on their lip???

A few days ago, I got hit in the face on accident, which resulted in a very big and very nasty cut on the inside of my upper lip...and sure enough, the next day it turned into the biggest canker sore I've ever had or seen. The pain is immense and overwhelming, I feel like I can't even eat anymore. I've been gargling with Listerine very often, but I was wondering if this is bad? I do so 5-10 times a day, whenever it starts hurting badly again, and it helps keep the pain level lower for a short bit.

On top of all this, I started getting two clear bubbles on the inside of my lower lip (this is day 3 or 4)! It freaked me out, I'd never had anything like it before, so I looked it up. The general consensus points to "mucus cysts"...but how can I be sure it's not something else? Does it have something to do with my giant canker sore or constant Listerine rinsing? Or is it just because my body's been over-exerted lately?

KK, thanks~!

Tons of tiny canker sores?? OUCH!?

Posted on April 21, 2011

Okay, last Friday I noticed a canker sore on my tongue. No big deal because they usually go away within a few days! Well on Sunday I noticed I had two! When I woke up on Monday, the entire tip of my tongue was covered with TINY ones that hurt like a ____!! They are STILL there and there are randomly one or two on the bottom and sides of my tongue. THEY HURT!!!! It feels like I burnt my tongue REALLY REALLY bad!! (except I didnt!)

I went to the doctor, and all he said was yeah, you have some canker sores, buy some Anbesol and call it good. That was two days ago and I've used almost a half of a bottle of Anbesol because they hurt so bad. I wouldn't be concerned, but I've had them for almost a week now and NOTHING is getting better!!
I've used saltwater and listerine three times a day for the last week. And I normally use listerine twice a day anyway!!

Canker Sores – Repeatedly?

Posted on April 19, 2011

This is long, but please bare with me, this gets old real fast.

A few months ago I had a sore throat etc. and the doctors thought it might be mono. Then a few mornings later I noticed one little bump on the tip of my tongue. The same night I noticed that bump I noticed another canker sore on my cheek. Within 3 hours they had spread throughout my mouth. I literally had at least 15 sores in my mouth. I woke up the next morning and a few had gone down so I only had about 6 or 7.

I went to the doctors again and they told me it was herpes and put me on acyclovir. The acyclovir didn't help and eventually the sores went away by themselves. A few weeks later I got more sores again. Six at once again. Those also went away, no thanks to acyclovir and I went back to the doctors who then decided it wasn't herpes but just regular canker sores and that I was "out of luck" basically.

Three weeks ago, my dad asked me how my mouth was and I noticed I was getting another one.
Within the next few days I had more sores. These prevent me from eating a lot of foods and even talking normally so you can see why it would be annoying.

Anyway, I decided that it might be from eating deviled eggs, since each time I have gotten the sores I had eaten eggs before. So we tried making some to see if my sores would get worse (figured it wouldn't kill me). They did get worse so I have been staying away from eggs.

Those sores went away but the next day I had more sores in the same spot as I had a few times before. I am VERY sick of having to watch what I eat and pay attention to what side of my mouth I eat on etc. So if anyone know's what this might be or has had a similar problem, please let me know.

Additional Information:
-I've tried just about every over the counter medication, including salt water.
-I've started taking vitamins.
-I'm not stressed.

Thank you to anyone who actually read this.

REDNESS AROUND MOUTH DUE TO WHITENING TOOTHPASTE?

Posted on April 14, 2011

Hello there. Can someone help me with this problem.
I used to leave the whitening toothpaste on my mouth on very long until the area around the mouth becomes numb.I did this for a few days and the area became red for very long.Gradually the redness fades to a lighter shade after a few months but

1 year have pass since then and the scarred area around the mouth still feels dry to the touch and looks sort of red still.
What could i do to remedy this and to restore the skin to the original skin condition?
