Weak Gums?

Posted on October 7, 2010

This may seem a little strange
But last week about Wednesday, I felt something weird, If i sucked and pushed back on my front two teeth with my tongue, and then pushed them on the back, they would "click" into place, I was really worried and then started taking extra extra care on my Oral Health.
So ive been flossing and cleaning every day twice for since wednesday, being alot more thorough than before, But now, ive noticed that my gums, where they go in between teeth are really pale, not anywhere other than that, so is it just because ive been flossing more? Or is there something wrong with my gums?

Thankks for the help
Also, Im using a "Gum Strengthening" toothpaste, using gum cleaning techniques with my brush, and also not drinking any more fizzy drinks, would that be good enough to fix my probolem? I just have a bit of dental-phobia, but i really am worried about my teeth :S but i also have exams soon so this is just one more thing i have to do adding more to the list :(

Acid erosion……..?

Posted on September 13, 2010

One of my teeth (at the front, top) has visibly got thinner over the past few months. It looks as if it is becoming see-through at the very bottom of it. Is this acid erosion? I drink a lot of fruit juice but not any sugary/fizzy drinks and I don't eat many sweets. I also brush quite hard so could that be anything to do with it? None of my teeth are decayed, I recently went to the dentist and he said everything is fine. I have tried using special toothpastes but they don't really help. What should I do?

How bad is soda/fizzy pop for my teeth?

Posted on September 9, 2010

I always get told by people that fizzy drinks are bad for my teeth as I drink quite a lot. I'd just like to know how bad it is though? What is a sensible amount to be drinking in a week? And is there something I can do to prevent/reverse the effects of acid erosion?

I only ever drink sugar free drinks, so it's only the acidity of them that I'm worried about.

Also, are there any other health problems caused by fizzy drinks?

Thanks,
Will :)

Brown little cracks on teeth? what do i do , what are they?

Posted on September 7, 2010

I have a tincy brown little crack in between my top 2 big teeth and i also have one a bit further down the line on another tooth.

They are not stains that cover the whole tooth, just these little cracks that look like a chip on a windscreen or like a little splintery thorn.

They cause me no pain and my teeth are apparently healthy, the odd bit of plaque here and there sure but no major concern.

So yeah , these tiny brown splinters....what are they?!
i dont smoke, i do drink fizzy drinks a lot though and i wouldnt be suprised if the answers highlight this as a cause.

No rubbish posts like u shld take better care of your teeth !! thats a given

cheers.
