What is the best floss to jam between teeth?

Posted on October 1, 2010

I like to use floss and cut it off pointy and jam it between my teeth near the gums.

Sometimes I rip a thin strand off it and use that part to floss really deep into the gums.

Posted on October 1, 2010

plaque...or some it just remove stains...i know it might seem like a dumb question...but i have been bleaching my teeth and they seem to only get whiter in some area's not evenly white...and it has been a while since ive been for a cleaning...so i was just curious of bleach cant remove plaque...ya dont tell me you should go for a cleaning every 6 months...i already know...LOL...i just have so many appointments it gets hard...

sorry for all the typo's...i have like 5 people talking to me on aim...LOL
so all i have to do is get my teeth cleaned and there is a chance they could be alot whiter?...LOL
the brand im using is actually what i got from my dentist he made a mold of my mouth and gave me bleach it cost me 300 dollars so i figured id be like glowing white teeth...LOL for 300????...ya well turns out..it aint the case...they are like def whiter but not what you would expect for 300 dollars ...the brand is OPALESCENCE...15% whatever that means
ok i brush and floss my teeth...LOL dont think i dont....if i am willing to spend 300 dollars to bleach my teeth i think i brush them................

weird dental question?

Posted on October 1, 2010

okay so i've always had problems with my teeth!! i brush and floss just like i'm supposed to but i still get cavities and stuff. the other day i felt this weird stuff (hard and plaque-ish) on the back of my bottom front two teeth. i looked and it looked like a build-up of plaque but it was solid and hard so i picked at it (stupid i know). a peice broke off at the gum line and i looked and it was hard white with a small line of dark that would have been touching my tooth. it didn't hurt when it broke off and it didn't bleed. it still doesnt hurt. there is still some build up on the back of the two teeth above what i broke off that will not come off with brushing or flossing or picking at it! where it did break off feels like a very small dent, not sharp or anything and since it is so close to my gum line i cant see it well. could it have been a peice of my actual tooth that broke out or was it just just weird hard build up? i dont understand because honestly i brush my teeth EVERY DAY!!!! i dont have insurance and really really really can't afford to go to the dentist b/c we already have alot of bills piling up (like most everyone nowadays)

I brush my teeth two times a day and my breath still stinks, help?

Posted on September 30, 2010

I have been two dentists and they say I have excellent oral health. I brush, floss, scrape my tongue, etc., every day. I am at my wit's end. I bought some chlorophyll and probiotics but don't know how long it will take before it works. If you have any other suggestions, please tell me. I am afraid to meet anyone new or date anyone because I am afraid that they will make fun of me so please, serious replies only. God Bless you.
I don't smoke, but do take (just started) Nexium for heartburn. Will that help? Listerine doesn't work for me.

sore gums on bottom front teeth?

Posted on September 30, 2010

My bottom front gums have been bothering me for about 5 days now. There is no noticeable swelling or bleeding, however, the pain is like a throbbing pain always there. There is a thin layer of white around the gum close to the tooth and I am not sure what this is. I don't believe the cause would be plaque as I just had a cleaning about 4 months ago and brush and floss regularly. I called the dentist and the receptionist said it could be a virus that could last ten days but the throbbing is really painful and not even Tylenol stops it. Any suggestions of what this could be or what I should do?

I have color discoloration on my teeth, will putting toothpaste of them overnight help?

Posted on September 30, 2010

As a child, I took very bad care of my teeth. Now I brush after every meal and floss. I have color discoloration on several teeth, and no toothpaste has helped me. I was wondering if I should put colgate whitning toothpaste of these discolorations will they go away? Or at least become less noticeable?
