I need temporary relief for my tooth?

Posted on June 18, 2011

I've got a bad tooth and part of it has chipped off today :( It's not painful unless I close my jaws all the way, so I've been avoiding to do that). I'm asking around for a reasonable price to have it removed soon, because I don't have insurance.

My question is, what can I do right now, to slow down the process of the erosion and pain (that is soon to come unless I get to the dentist quick). At the moment, I'm using grapefruit extract diluted into 3oz of water and gargle on it twice a day. I think it helps a bit, and I've been taking vitamic C too. What else can I do or eat at this point?

Is it possible to not have tooth cavity for whole life?

Posted on June 12, 2011

So i am a person who really takes care of my oral hygiene, but its not say i will floss, gargle listerine and brush my teeth like 6 times a day... i do keep it a minimum of 2 times of thorough teeth brushing with fluoride toothpaste for when i wake up and before i go to bed. I strictly have to brush my teeth everyday twice because its become a part of me. if i dont brush my teeth, especially before bed, i feel uneasy and that somthing is missing. i will occasionally floss my teeth when i feel like it or maybe 1 or 2 times week or if theres something stuck between my teeth. I dont use mouthwash at all, i'll just give my mouth a thorough rinse of water. So thats about my daily regime of oral hygiene. I've never had a tooth decay, cavity, or holes in my teeth in my life till now but i was just wondering, can you really not get tooth cavities for your whole life or should a person have it atleast once? i have a feeling that this is something people can't escape and they would experience it atleast a few times in their life. Also, with my current ways of oral hygiene, will i be able to escape cavities for life?

How do I get rid of canker/cold sores in my mouth?

Posted on May 17, 2011

I've had sores on my mouth for about 4 days now and what's really bothering me is that i have canker sores as well as cold sores. when i first started i only had 2 now i have 18 canker sores. ive been taking valtrex and using carmex. I was just wondering how the canker sores are multiplying and what can I do to prevent them. I already gargle prescribed mouthwash. Is it possible for the sores to spread through the throat or is that just one of the symptoms of having them?

At the time its not due to stress. He's had a fever. Its the first time he's had this,my older child never experienced this.

What can Kids do about bad breath?

Posted on February 12, 2011

They brush their teeth all the time and gargle with adult mouth wash and within a few hours their breath is like a dragon. They have been to the dentist and had their teeth cleaned. I have never smelled anything like this on a kid. They are related? What can I tell their parents to do? And how can I tell them w/o getting socked in the nose?

Why does my breath smell so bad all the time!?

Posted on February 6, 2011

Ok, I brush my teeth 3 times a day with baking soda for 2 minutes each time. I floss every night and gargle mouthwash. But for some reason my breath always smells bad. It's embarassing when I'm out in public because I feel like I offend everyone around me. I might just be paranoid about this, but I've struggled with bad breath my whole life!

How to get rid of bad breath?

Posted on January 30, 2011

Every morning, I thoroughly brush my teeth, clean my tongue with a tongue cleaner, and then take a 30 swish and gargle of mint mouthwash, but after only 1 or 2 hours, I can tell my breath is bad again. It makes me really uncomfortable when I'm talking to someone who's near me, because I know that they can tell :(

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Any help would be much appreciated :)

How to deal with bad breath?

Posted on January 9, 2011

I wake up and have morning breathing and i can tell, because when my breath stinks i get this taste in my mouth. I go to the bathroom brush my teeth and gargle. Then about 15-20 minutes later, i get that taste in my mouth again, my breather stinks again. I eat a mint, as soon as its gone the taste comes back. How can i keep my breath fresh all day without buying a certain tooth paste, buying a certain mouthwash, or constantly eating a mint or gum?
