Can I make my own toothpaste?

Posted on April 16, 2011

I make a lot of things on my own and I do a good job saving money! Is it possible to make your own toothpaste? Are the ingredients in toothpaste sold to the public?

Did my Dad lie to me all these years about brushing?

Posted on March 11, 2011

When I was a kid, my dad used to tell me to brush my teeth hard to get them real clean and that if gums bled it was a sign I was doing a good job...... He is a strict man, I'm 22 now with serious gum recession. He used to say anything pain related "built character."

Best at home teeth whiteners?

Posted on March 6, 2011

Right now I am 14 years old and just got my braces off so they're a little yellow. I'm starting high school this year and I wanted to start the year off with white teeth. What are the best teeth whiteners that will do a good job but won't cause sensitivity? THANKS- Taylor

How do you treat and eventually get rid of gingivitis?

Posted on January 27, 2011

I'm a 17 year old boy, and..Well, I've been getting lots and lots of sugar..And I never really flossed because it's irritating as hell. My mouth are smaller then my hands, so its hard to get in there with the floss. Maybe you could give me some advice on that?

Anyways, to the point..I've started flossing, but I doubt I'm doing a very good job at it. My gums are inflamed, and swollen..What's stupid though is that I don't think nothing is wrong with them because I don't have anything to compare my gums too, you know? I've never looked at peoples mouths before -_-. I mean, I didn't think that was something I should observe.

My dentist gave me PerioMed for my gingivitis. Um..Its antimicrobial Oral Rinse. It's for my gums, and just a tiny few cavities. But I gotta be honest, I don't trust my dentists. Not after what they did to my dad. I mean, albeit, my dad is very old, but um..You know what, I'm getting off topic here.

Meh...So I swish this crap around in my mouth everynight for 1 minute after brushing and flossing my teeth. And I cal it crap because I can't drink anything afterwards when i go to bed and..I need water for- GOD! I'm doing it again, damnit.

Does this stuff really help gingivitis? I started last week and..I'm not noticing any physical changes. My teeth feel a bit shinier though..Like..Clean, slippery.

What else could I do to treat it? You know what? Screw treating it..

The more important question to me is..

WILL IT GET RID OF IT IF I KEEP DOING IT EVERYNIGHT?

Do any of the Chi straightening irons have teeth or combs on the ceramic plates?

Posted on January 11, 2011

I find with wavy or coarse hair the little teeth on the ironing plates do a good job of pulling the hair into place for better straightening results.

What toothpaste actually DOES do a good job whitening?

Posted on December 19, 2010

I've tried Rembrant and several others available at the grocery store and ONLY saw improvement with one -- Crest 3D White but it's very abrasive and I don't want to loose tooth enamal that way. Yes, it did work, but I don't think it's meant to be used all the time.

Is there anything out there in a non-prescription toothpaste (and not those whitening strips) that does a good job?
The whitening strips cause sensitivity in my teeth, can't use them even if I brush with Sensodyne.

What's the best whitening toothpaste that really works?

Posted on December 5, 2010

Okay, I've asked a similar question to this in the past, but I want to know the best whitening toothpaste I can buy at the store. Right now, I'm using Colgate Whitening Toothpaste. It was doing a good job at first, but now my teeth are yellow!!! I need to get rid of that, but I can't find a good whitening paste. Any suggestions? Thanks! :)
