My gums smell yuck and bleed sometimes. Sorry i know this is gross but it is really upsetting because i am a very hygenic person and am really upset by this condition. I am afraid to talk to peoplecuz i am scared my breath smells. eek please help me
is the black spots on my cats gum gingivitis?
The rest of his gums are pink, but there are a couple of black spots, and he hates for me to brush his teeth. Also are there any products that are designed to help disabled people groom their pets easier? I have only one good arm and arthritis in my lower back and hips as well as facet joint pain. It worsens these problems when I struggle with my cat during bathing time. He is a big cat and he struggles and sometimes tries to scratch and bite me when he feels he has had enough. I want to keep him as I raised him from a kitten, but I want it to be less stressful for the both of us .
Please tell me this isn't gingivitis..?
A few nights ago I was brushing my teeth when I went over a tooth, and it hurt really bad, and looked like there was a little scrape so I thought maybe I cut it on a chip or something, and thought nothing of it.
So the next night it hurt as well, and I skipped over that part of my gums until tonight, because it finally feels okay to go over but it's still sensitive and looks sorta strange. My gums are a little swollen underneath that tooth, but fine everywhere else. It looks as if the scrape has gotten a little bit bigger, and spread some too, but hardly any. I also brushed directly over it and it starting bleeding just a bit.
I'm just getting really worried, any ideas?
I have braces if that helps, but I brush twice a day, and use the mini brush they gave me to go in between each bracket. I floss a couple times a week, as well as use mouth wash every morning.
What can I do to fix my swollen gums?
I'm pretty sure it's not gingivitis - I think I cut the back of my upper gums when I was eating chips, because it started swelling a little then, and then I put my retainer on and in the morning woke up with an indented cut where the swelling grew! =\ It's been swollen and painful for a few days now, to the point I can't eat certain foods. Anything I can do to speed the recovery?
How to deal with a tooth problem?
I generally take good care of my teeth. I brush them regularly, and I do floss on occasion, but still not quite as much as I should. The other day, I noticed that the gums around one of my teeth in the front were a little bit irritated, and every time I bite into something like an apple, or even put something near my mouth, that awful smell you get from plaque/bad breath is there. I've flossed several times since I noticed it, to try and get rid of it, but nothing. In fact, it just irritates the gums more, and it still smells bad, but only in that area. I'm trying to be gentle, but I don't know what's wrong.
Also, I cannot see a dentist for another month (6 month rule), and I am away at school anyways.
What is it? What can I do?
My gums slightly sting after brushing. What can this be?
Yesterday evening, my gums behind my left molar were very swollen. I could not close my mouth all the way. It has gone down now, but after I get done brushing, my gums slightly sting. Please help.
