My daughter needs to get into the habit of brushing her teeth!?
My daughter is 13 and has a habit of just not brushing her teeth. She knows the effects of it and the severity of it but can't seem to get into the routine of brushing them! How can I help her make a habit of it rather than a chore
What is the best teeth whitener you have used?
I have tried several. I have custom teeth trays. I need to get them white again as apparently my coffee/cigar habit is not doing me justice.
Give me your best recommendations.
I filed my teeth with a nail file?
They used to be very rounded but I was bored and started to file my teeth and now it's become a habit and now they are more, well not so rounded, I've runined myself. Can the dentist fix this? I know they file teeth more straight but can they do it rounded again????
If so how much does it cost?
And to the people who ask does filing your teeth hurt, No it doesn't hurt it just gives you a headache and makes you feel like an airhead
The acidic effects of Coca Cola?
Alright so I know the acid in Coca Cola and other pop drinks wears away the enamel on your teeth. I'm addicted to diet coke and so I always use a straw to try to prevent dental erosion but then I began to think if the acid is that strong could it eventually cause an ulcer or gastric rupture? It seems drastic but does any one know? Ps. I know it's not a healthy habit b/c of the chemicals and I know carbonated water isn't great but that's not what I'm asking so please don't put that in your answer, thanks.
Can gingivitis be cured while smoking?
I've been smoking just under a pack a day for eight years and consume several alcoholic drinks on the weekend. I also haven't been flossing so it's not surprising that I've developed gingivitis. My gums are redder than usual and inflamed. I just had my teeth cleaned, which was painful and I bled. My dentist gave me a list of things to do everyday for it to go away and I'm going back in a month for another cleaning, but I'm wondering if all this will work if I continue to smoke and drink. A friend told me that I'll for sure get gum cancer if I smoke right now but I'm not sure how true this is.
I guess I can do without the drinking but I'll seriously lose all sanity if I quit smoking right now with all the stress from school and work. I know I need to live a healthier lifestyle and I've vowed to kick the habit for good as soon as I graduate in five months. I hope this doesn't mean permanently damaging my mouth in the mean time. Has anyone experienced this or have any insight? Thanks.
What's the point in brushing your baby teeth?
(Besides getting the habit of course) My age is 13.
