Our dog has been diagnosed with cushing's disease and diabetes. How can we boost his immune system?

Posted on September 8, 2011

He takes anipryl daily for the cushings and receives insulin injections daily for his diabetes. He has a severe dermatitis/skin infection right now and currently takes 2 antibiotics and an antihistamine daily for these complications. What can we give him to boost his immune system so as not to complicate these other health issues?

How should I use garlic for optimum health benefits?

Posted on June 17, 2011

I have chronic tension headache, and IBS. I'm thinking garlic might help the tension headache because it can lower blood pressure, and it might help the IBS due to the anti-fungal properties.

Should I take it in raw form, or get garlic pills?

Those who use it for health issues, how has it helped you?

Sore/Slightly Puffy gums around wisdom tooth and under/side of tongue sore?

Posted on May 9, 2011

Hi, so I really like to take care of my teeth. Brush 3 times a day since Im home-schooled, fluoride when needed, flossing. Dentists visits all that. But I just noticed within the last day or so that the left side of my mouth was sore on the inside of my gums closest to my tongue towards the back. At first I thought it was a bump on the side of my tongue, then I thought it was from something I ate that scraped my gum because it feels like it's scratched but upon some inspection with my(clean) fingers and a flashlight and mirror, that the area where my wisdom teeth are supposed to come in was slightly puffy and it's sore if I sort of press my tongue or finger back there. Now the very back, bottom side of my tongue is sore too. What's going on? I told my mom and she just said to take some ibuprofen and put some oral spray stuff to numb it if it hurt too bad. But I'm concerned because I'm a worry wart. I'm almost 16 btw and my other wisdom tooth/side of mouth is just fine. And I have no other health issues. I'm on a Birth Control Pill(trinessa) for acne/the benefits and I take an oral antibiotic for acne. But other than that I'm healthy and have had no problems like this before. Please help, it hurts pretty badly when I eat .___.

How do I convince my boyfriend to get his teeth done?

Posted on April 9, 2011

I love him to death and it doesn't bug me how they look. I've had similar issues but to a lesser degree. I'm just concerned about his health.

They are crooked to the point he can't ever floss.
Half of every molar is gone to erosion.

I know that bad teeth can cause some serious health issues. He says he doesn't do it because he has no health insurance. I know he can get some cheep or just plain save up but he wont. Maybe he thinks hes invincible or just doesn't plan on living more than ten more years??
What do?
And holding out wont work. I'd be the one to give in.

Is fluoridated water poisoning our society?

Posted on March 10, 2011

I have research a lot about fluoride in America's drinking water. Apparently it causes all sorts of health issues. Cancers, kidney failure, rotted teeth, infant death, and brain deterioration. I also read fluoride is just as toxic as arsenic or lead. I have heard that a lot of Doctors are calling for the removal of fluoride from our drinking water. Do you think we should take fluoride out of our drinking water?
www.fluoridealert.org/fluoride-deception.html

The government states they put fluoride in the water to make sure that our teeth are clean. Yet injesting flouride has been known to do the opposite, rot your teeth. Also, in western Europe, where the water is not fluoridated, the peoples teeth are just as healthy as ours.

Can anyone tell me what's wrong with me?

Posted on November 19, 2010

Hi

I have a range of health issues that are baffling doctors and dentists and I was wondering if anybody on here has the same or knows what may be the problem.

The main symptom I have is a fecal body odour. That is the smell of feces (poo) emanates from my skin. I wash regularly and I'm a very clean person. It's not a hygiene issue, it's something deeper rooted than that.

My secondary symptoms include:

-Hemmorhoids (Piles)

-Bleeding Gums - I have been to the dentist about this and he says there is no reason why I should have Gingivitis (bleeding gums). I hardly have any plaque on my teeth and I brush them well. I can alleviate the problem with good brushing, flossing and mouthwash, but it returns straight away if I stop flossing and using mouthwash.

-White coated tongue. Although I originally cured this problem with a special mouthwash it has returned. My tongue is coated in a white substance, possibly a yeast infection.

-An itchy recurring rash on my inner thighs

-Recurring athletes foot.

I realise some of these are normal health afflictions, but they all seem connected to a root cause which at the moment is a mystery.

Can anyone tell me what could be wrong, or suggest some treatment?

Thanks
Deodorant doesn't work for the smell. As I said, this isn't a hygiene problem but something internal that's causing the problem.

Deodorants and aftershaves only serve to make the smell worse believe it or not.
