what are some reasons a public health investigator would want you to contact them immediately?
i received a letter from the curtis tucker medical center saying that they needed to talk to me about an important matter ? i recently (march or april) had an hiv/aids test done at kaiser and the results were negative. but i do have herpes . i wondering does anybody know why a "public health investigator" from a place ive never been to needs to talk to me. also at the bottom of the letter IX and TX were circled and below it 2 and 3 were also circled .
Hiv, oral sex, canker sores?
I started being sexually active last September. I've had sexual activity with 11 men since then. I used a condom always during vaginal intercourse, but never during oral. I swallowed semen when with 3 of these men. In September, I got some canker sores in my mouth, which I had never had before. They healed fairly quickly. I seem to have gotten another similar sore in my mouth. It appeared about 5 days ago, is white and painful, and seems indicative of another canker sore. I've never been tested for HIV, which I know is bad but I will definitely do it asap
My questions are : how likely is it that I have contracted HIV from these encounters? Is it likely to get HIV from oral sex in which I swallowed semen but swallowed it immediately? Are my canker sores indicative of HIV infection? thanks
it's not herpes. nothing about it is indicative of herpes because it's inside the mouth and completely flat. they're canker sores.

2 canker sores on my soft palate…?
Monday night i started to feel sick and had pain on my soft palate. I shined a flashlight back there and i have 2 small canker sores on the soft palate... i've had canker sores in my mouth before, but never on my soft palate. Now i have a really bad cold and cough... are the cankers only there cause i have a cold? it hurts to swallow cause they are in a weird place :( i'm absolutely miserable. a friend told me i may have mono... but when i look up canker sores online all this stuff comes up about HIV and stuff like that... what's going on here?

I'm extremely nervous... So the deal is i had sex with a girl that I just meet in a outlet store she looks descent and clean to my knowledge. But after 2 weeks of dating I had developed some canker sores on my tongue not thrush but canker sores. Ive been doing some HIV symptom research online and found out that canker sore are one of the symptoms of HIV. I got tested on Monday for STD the whole 9 yards i wont get the results not until tomorrow. Can some one relieve me of my anxiety I just need to be certain if canker sores are a sign of HIV. Please help me!!!!
My dentist tells me I have “Acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis” or ANUG for short. What should I do?
Previosly I was told it was periodontitis, now it's this weird sounding thing! Previously I was given an antibiotic called Flagyl (Metronidazole) on 3 differnet occasions, didn't do much good. I'm a smoker and my dentist tells me that this is the cause of it? Trying to quit now by taking pils called Champix (Chantix in USA), might work. I've read that I should take penicillin (according to wiki!) but was never offered that or told I should take it?
Should I take penicillin? Is it true as the dentist is saying that if I stop smoking it'll clear up, I have my suspicions whether that is correct?
Yeah, I've read that it's often people with HIV/AIDS (but not confined to them) that get that but I am not HIV, thank god!
Over the last few weeks I have been to 3 differnet dentists trying to get an opinion, 2 have said its periodontitis and the most recent one said it was ANUG. I would go with it being ANUG as the last dentist spent the most time examining it, xrays, little spy camera thing etc.
What has me puzzled as to whether it is actually ANUG is that my gums don't bleed much at all, no bad breath, no soreness when I eat...these are all listed as indications of ANUG but I have none of them?
Just to update, I got a second opinion and was told I don't have ANUG! Instead was told the problem was that I needed a filling, no answer given by the new dentist I saw as to what the gum problem was.....unbelievable!

I just got a HIV test and the result came back negative, but i found out after I left that it was a health center for a specific race...now im thinking what if i am really positive and they just said i was negative for the fuck of it cause im not of that race.

help! freaking out! had protected sex and now i have canker sores in my mouth…?
i had protected sex almost one month ago, it will be one month the 22nd, i was on the pill and he used a condom, and i did not give oral sex, but now i have canker sores in my mouth that just showed up a few days ago, i'm panicing because i read that canker sores are an early sign of hiv, is this true? and what are the chances that this could be hiv? and when can i get tested? please help i'm panicing.
