Posted on January 27, 2011

a couple years ago, my dentist said i have gingivitis because when i would brush my teeth, my gums would bleed. but now every time i brush my teeth my gums don't bleed and my gums aren't swollen anywhere anymore, so does that mean i don't have it any more? im worried because i kissed someone and i read that if two people with gingivitis kisses each other and one of them has hiv, the other person could get it. it wasn't a big long kiss, maybe just a couple seconds. not really open mouth either.

HIV Gingivitis… Yes or No?

Posted on December 22, 2010

I was wondering if HIV gingivitis was one of the first symptoms during the first 3 months of being exposed? I had unprotected sex with someone in July, well he put it in like twice and I made him stop. Now all of a sudden I have 2 bumps on my gums on each side of my mouth. One is gray with a red lining and the other one is kind of yellowish looking. Neither one of them hurt, the gray one hurts when I press on it, and it hurts my tooth under it also when I press on it. I do have slight gingivitis my dentist said, what is the difference between HIV gingivitis and regular?
