I have swollen gums, they don't bleed when i brush/floss…?
Maybe someone can help me out with this one. I've been searching for about 1 month on this topic and nothing seems to hit the head of the nail.
About 1 month ago, my last tooth (upper teeth) on the left side of my face had a cut just above it on the gums, i went to the dentist, he cleaned it with the tool they use to scrape plaque, he cleaned behind the tooth etc. He said maybe i had some food trapped in-between the teeth and it was further than i could get to. Anyways, the swollen gums, and pain associated with it went away.
As soon as the pain and swelling went away from the top gums, the bottom gums, same exact location but just the bottom is swollen and it's painful, i am taking approximately 6 to 8 aspirins a day. I went back to the dentist, he took x-rays, cleaned my mouth with the scraper again. He said the tooth looks good, the root looks healthy. He's not really sure what it could be. Is it a mouth ulcer? I heard the dentist assistant mention Gingivitis level 4, but they didn't diagnose anything, and i figured that the tooth would not be healthy if i had Gingivitis, but he stated everything looks good and to come back in about 1 to 2 weeks if the swelling has not gone away. I've been bruising, flossing and using listerine after every meal. I've also been swishing around Hydrogen Peroxide 2-3 times a day. Any help would be much appreciated.
yellow teeth? help please?
my teeth have a hint of yellow, and they always get plaque inbetween them. i brush and floss 3 times a day, and use listerine. what else can i do?
Is Gingivitis painful?
my gums have purplish color to it, and im dead scared. I do have a ton of plaque around my teeth, and i understand that this causes gingivitis, which i think im seeing early symptoms of. I'm 16, does age count for this process? Either way, i've been brushing my teeth like crazy recently, using listerine, and i've also been using a small pick to take out some of the plaque, i see on the roots of my teeth, is gingivitis painful?
What is the best way to clean invisalign's?
I usually use listerine and a toothbrush to clean them but it turns them orange sometimes. Then I soak them under hot water for a little bit. I'm just getting over being sick and I feel if I don't clean them properly I'm just going to put germs right back into my system. Is there any other ways to clean them?
I have gotten real lazy about going to the dentist…?
I have had no cavities ever, no gum issues, occasional plaque which I eradicate with Listerine and never any pain or "loose teeth."
Lately I have noticed that my wisdom tooth in the upper right molar, which has been visible in x-rays for the last 13 years, may be starting to break the gum surface. Am I a late bloomer for this? I am almost 30 years old. Can these teeth "come in" problem free? Everyone I know had to deal with getting them removed at age 20. Again I am having no pain nor discomfort.
Gaah!! So I was brushing my teeth, and I discovered bleeding gums… What do I do?
I'm really worried. This is going to be long, but please bear with me. I was brushing my teeth as usual, and when I spat out the toothpaste, I noticed there was red/pink stuff which turned out to be blood. I checked my teeth to see where it was coming from, and I realized the blood was coming from the inward-side (the side of the gum next to the tongue, if that makes sense) of gum around a certain molar. It wasn't gushing blood or anything and it didn't bleed after that, but I could tell it was coming from there because it just looked kind of raw on the edge where the gum met the tooth (but otherwise firm and healthy). Anyhow, I began to floss the hell out of my teeth, and around the one molar I extracted some tiny remnants of meat. :/ Gross, I know. It didn't smell bad like it probably would if it was decaying, but I think that was probably the cause of the bleeding. I made sure to get all of it out, and then I rinsed with Listerine and did a sea salt rinse as well.
Now, I know this is all my fault because I haven't really been keeping up with the regular flossing in the last couple months (and I have braces... it's such a pain in the butt to floss with those wires)... My gum seems all right, but do you think I'll need to go in for a cleaning or something? I don't have any plaque/tartar build-up and my teeth seem to be in excellent condition except for that tiny gum detail... lol. Couldn't it just heal on its on? I'd rather not have to pay for an appointment if I don't have to... do you think the dentist would charge me just for a minor check-up?
By the way, I know I'm stupid... don't have to tell me. From now on, I'm going to floss every day no matter how busy or tired I think I am.

What to do about bad breath?
I floss like crazy its amazing that I don't have gaped teeth because of it. But I brush day and night and gargle (Listerine) afterwords. But its seems like 4 hrs after I get into work my breath smells like I didn't even brush gargle or floss. So I carry gum to "disguise". Its not really bad breath just more I can feel its gross. I'm in between insurances right now so what does anybody suggest? Any home remedies or really good toothpastes and gargling solutions that anybody swears by?
