What other problems can be associated with Diabetes?

Posted on September 4, 2011

My husband has had several health problems and the Dr.s can't figure out what it is. He recently found out that his blood sugar has been fluxuating. All of his lymph nodes are swollen, he feels like he has the flu all the time(body aches, chills, hot flashes). He has been depressed. He has no energy. He has mood swings. He has headaches alot. These things have lead him to Dr, to Dr. To Dr. They have done test after test, including surgery to biopsy a lymph node. No Cancer of any kind. They can't find anything. Can all of this be problems from the onset of diabetes and could it take YEARS before the diabetes actually show up? Is there something we should be looking for?
We have been told that his problem could be an auto immune disorder but they don't know which it is.
His kidneys were checked, I think. He had started having trouble because he was constantly going to the bathroom to pee and he was always thirsty.
He also had trouble with his fingers drawing up from time to time but that was years ago. It hasn't happened in years.
Just found out that his mother took some medicine for diabetes. She died at the age of 47 of a stroke or something along that line.

Can Gingivitis cause swollen lymph node is my neck?

Posted on January 9, 2011

I noticed my left neck lymph nodes is swelling 2 days ago... I thought that I was just getting fat but I noticed that the my left neck is more bulged than the right one... My wisdom tooth has a cavity more than a year, my other teeth also have tooth decays and I also have a gingivitis... Can Gingivitis cause my lymph node in my neck swollen?

I already got my HIV 1/2 Abbott Determine test last sat and my last exposure was April. And it turned out negative. Am I still in danger of having HIV? Is the reason why my lymph node swell because of it?

By the I'm also taking medication due to my kidney stone... Thanks in advance... ;(

Infection of some sort? Help?

Posted on September 24, 2010

I've had a rough past few weeks.. It started out with a waking up with a nauseous feeling on morning and then developed into a fever, night sweats and sore throat with very light cough over the next few days along with swollen right lymph node (I've always had swollen lymph nodes my whole life but my right one got bigger then got smaller as the days past). A few days after than my whole mouth got a really bad infection called (Acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis (ANUG)) which my dentist diagnosed me with and had a professional teeth cleaning done that cleared up the problem in the next few days (said it was caused by bad oral health hygiene and stress.... I had finals coming up)... So anyways, by this time the sore throat, fever and stuff were gone and it was just this mouth infection that hurt like hell. I've since been brushing my teeth very regularly with mouthwash and they still bleed occasionally (they bled a lot during the anug of course) mostly because of a wisdom tooth coming in is why they are bleeding now (I get those out next week). But over the past few days I've had the urge to "clear my throat" and when I attempt to I spit up small amounts of blood that seem to be coming from my throat and I really have no idea whats causing it, my guess is something related to the infection got into my throat and has not healed yet (I'm currently taking penicillin), I'm curious what I might have and some suggestions would be helpful... I'm 19, always been healthy, no health problems/surgeries, not ever weight, ect...

multiple canker sores and white patches of loose skin inside of mouth?

Posted on September 10, 2010

Hello.

The other day I woke up with one side of my neck (right lymph node) hurting. Gradually it got a little painful to swallow. Later the next day I started suffering severe muscle aches (head to toe), and my lymph node had swollen and it was very painful. I noticed a canker sore on the inside of my cheek. Later that night, another one appeared on the inside of my upper lip. Througout the night, i developed a fever of 102 and 2 canker sores multiplied to 30 or more all over the inside of my lips and cheeks. I do have a nervous habit of biting my lips and cheeks to the point where they bleed, (had it for years) but never have I experienced so many sores at once. Along with the sores I have large areas of slightly raised white patches of skin. My lips are swollen, I cant eat, the muscles pains and fever went away, but pain is worse in my mouth.

anyone else experience something similar to multipe sores? Its not herpes (that occurs on outside of mouth) Could it be Lupus?

thanks
Note: I went to a dentist today because I was really concerned and I have two impacted wisdom teeth which I thought that was causing the pain and swelling in my lymph node. She was horrified by the number of canker sores I had and said the white patches could be Lupus, but it could be nothing (im hoping just consequence of me biting my lips and cheeks too much). Really, serious answers only please, hopefully someone with a medical background or knowledge or someone who has had similar or same experience.
