i stopped drinking anything with caffine in it because it messes with my heart and my doctor suggested.
Home remedies for teeth whitening?
I am very self conscious about my teeth especially. I have a stain that comes and goes since I was a kid. I want it gone. I don't have any dental insurance so I was wondering if anyone knew any good home remedies for teeth whitening? Nothing that has to do with strawberries please. A lot of people already told me that it messes up your enamel because there's too much sugar in it. Thank you in advance!
Can I get an oral or vaginal yeast infection from exposing these areas to baking yeast?
My roommate is currently on a wild bread making kick, and is horrible about cleaning up the kitchen whenever he is done. A small amount of baker's yeast is obviously in the doughy residue that he allows to accumulate on the range, countertop, and unwashed bowls that he leaves in the sink, and apart from the fact that this is aesthetically disconcerting, I fear that this is turning out kitchen into a breeding ground for fungus.
I know that oral thrush and vaginal yeast infections are usually caused by candida, and that baker's yeast is of another species, but is there any danger that could come from letting such messes sit untouched? If I were to inadvertently bring baker's yeast into contact with one of my mucus membranes, might it cause or make me more susceptible to an infection? If not, are there any other immediate threats to my health that this yeast could possibly cause?
I know that all of these questions would be deemed irrelevant if I were to just clean the kitchen myself, but I feel as though this would be some useful knowledge to have for future reference - as well as an opportunity to get in a fair "I told you so" with said roommate.
Excuse my paranoia, but I am simply wanting to make sure. Serious answers only, and please do not respond if you are unsure or cannot substantiate your answer. Thanks!
How do I prevent brushing my gums away from my teeth?
I recently got my braces off and used an electric toothbrush.. since my brackets were covering most of my tooth, the toothbrush didn't exactly hit just my tooth.. Now after using it awhile my gums on some of my bottom teeth are hurting really bad, it feels like the gums are being pushed down away from my tooth and sometimes I can see a slice mark across my gum below the tooth that's hurting and it starts to bleed, just brushing lightly does it, too... What is happening and what can I do about this?
It's Just recently started happening.. I'm not sure what's causing it.. I switched some products.. to Crest whitening toothpaste & whitening mouth rinse, then the crest whitening strips.. I'm not sure if those would make my gums worse.. I know when I first began to use them it said the strips might irritate your gums and get them hurting and it did.. or make your teeth more sensitive.. could it just be the whitening stuff I'm using? because the tooth brush hasn't bothered them before till I started trying to whiten.. and I've had my braces off for about a month and a half now with no tooth brush problems till now..
I have started wearing my retainer which is moving my teeth back in place where my braces are.. and that makes your gums a little edgy if you know what I mean, as do braces when they're tightened.. could it be because my retainer has teeth shifting in my gums and my gums aren't having time to settle in around my tooths placement from the retainer then I go and brush and it messes with my gums?
