Does Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate in toothpaste cause canker sores?
I know that Sodium Lauryl Sulfate causes them, anyone know about this detergent in relation mouth ulcers?
Reality Jack, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I went from using common toothpastes with Sodium Lauryl Sulfate to pastes without it and I noticed a big decrease.
Do ppl who experience mouth ulcers (canker sores) typically exp. cold sores if there infected with the virus?
I get mouth ulcers all the time but never had a cold sore that i can remember. I am very paranoid about kissing/ sharing drinks/ biting another person's food because I fear if i contract the herpes cold sore virus i will also get them frequently.
I know that only 1 third of ppl infected actually get sores so I'm wondering if maybe i'm already infected but just only get mouth ulcers...
Question about gingivitis and Periodontitis can you help?
I am going to the dentist in a couple days but If your gums have white bump on it I heard there called pockets. but its white like puss. does that automacily mean you have Periodontitis? because my teeth are not screwed up. I think I may have been having this for a long time because I had mouth ulcers or sores before but they went away and i had braces my teeth became straight also and then years after the braces I developed an over but and I don't know if they can cause overbite also. its kind of weird because I would expect my dentist to be able to tell if I had gingivitus or not but I have white pockets. and if they did know why didn't they tell me. because I have had my gums bleed before years ago too. I didnt really know what was gingivitis. just know my toothpaste supposed to prevent it so I ignored it because it would better up but recently my gums been bleeding and I am getting white pockets
because my gums been bleeding for years but its like my gums would bleed less and harder to bleed when I brushed my teeth so then I would ignore it. I used to drink lots of orange juice I think thats probably the only reason why it progressed slow
Is there anyway to quickly get rid of mouth ulcers/canker sores?
I have been getting them since i was 10 and im now 14, its just a side effect of anemia, which i have. Anyway i have about 7 mouth ulcers at the moment and my mouth is all swollen and its difficult for me to talk, let alone eat. I take vitamins and iron tablets. Is there anyway to quickly cure them besides a salt mouth wash, i would like them to be better before my 15th in 2 days so i can enjoy my party
I Need to Find a Toothpaste with NO fluoride, SLS or Glycerin?
I want to know if there is a toothpaste that does not contain fluoride, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and Glycerin.
Because:
Fluoride causes the fibers in your gums to detach from the tooth/teeth. SLS causes Mouth Ulcers and bad breath. and Glycerin makes a sticky film over teeth that takes 27 rinses to get off and prevents enamel re-mineralization .
I would like if possible to find a toothpaste that contains Xylitol, Calcium Phosphate and hydroxyapatite, if Possible.
Xylitol kills bacteria in the mouth and promotes the re-mineralization process. Calcium phosphate and hydroxyapatite help repair tooth enamel.
i would also like suggestions of tooth paste that contain anti bacterial oils such as mint oil.
P.s. I already use Grant's toothpaste, Though i do not like the fact that it contains Glycerin.
What is the best way to treat mouth ulcers/canker sores?
I have mouth ulcers & they completely fill my mouth. They make it all red & it hurts soo bad. It also makes my teeth hard to clean cos it bleeds when I scrape it. Please help!!!
How to get rid of bad breath?
I hav a very bad breath.The moment I open my mouth to say something it come out making people to go away from me.I wash my teeth 2 times in a day for more than 2 minutes,but it is of no use.Even I eat mint gums but it works for only 15 minutes & again the bad breath starts.Now I hav started eating cloves but bcoz of it I hav got mouth ulcers.I am very much frustrated with this bad breath.Please tell me what to do as soon as possible.
What should I eat to prevent mouth ulcers/ gingivitis (ie diet for a healthy mouth)?
I have almost chronic mouth ulcers, and gingivitis, I brush my teeth, and have started taking Lysine. I don't know what else to do. I think a change in diet would work, but I was hoping someone would know what would work best. I know to avoid sugars, and acidic foods. I need help, please!

I am looking for advice from someone who gets canker sores a.k.a. mouth ulcers. How do you avoid getting them? Do you use a certain brand of mouthwash or toothpaste? What seems to cause them for you? How do you treat them?
