What would cause low back pain, menstral cramps, and heavy discharge?
2 weeks ago I had a regular period, but my cramps have not stopped. Usually I only have cramps for the first day or two. My cramps have been accompanied by lower back pain and heavy mucus like discharge for the past week. I have an appt with my gyno on Thursday, I was just wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms and what the outcome was. Also I have had a tubal ligation, so it is very unlikely that I am pregnant.
Questions about canker sores?
I kid you not, everytime I get a cut in my lip, no matter how small, it ALWAYS turns into a canker sore! It irritates me to no end, but I can usually put up with it. However, I wanted to know if this is normal??? I know everyone gets canker sores, but do they get one EVERY time they get a tiny cut or bump on their lip???
A few days ago, I got hit in the face on accident, which resulted in a very big and very nasty cut on the inside of my upper lip...and sure enough, the next day it turned into the biggest canker sore I've ever had or seen. The pain is immense and overwhelming, I feel like I can't even eat anymore. I've been gargling with Listerine very often, but I was wondering if this is bad? I do so 5-10 times a day, whenever it starts hurting badly again, and it helps keep the pain level lower for a short bit.
On top of all this, I started getting two clear bubbles on the inside of my lower lip (this is day 3 or 4)! It freaked me out, I'd never had anything like it before, so I looked it up. The general consensus points to "mucus cysts"...but how can I be sure it's not something else? Does it have something to do with my giant canker sore or constant Listerine rinsing? Or is it just because my body's been over-exerted lately?
KK, thanks~!
How do I take care of a self-done lip piercing?
I pierced my lip with a sterilized safety pin about 2 days ago. I keep getting this white mucus stuff around the inside of the piercing. The outside is all crusty. I've been using hydrogen peroxide to rinse my mouth, antibacterial soap on the outside, and mouthwash every time I brush my teeth. But, it seems to not be healing at all. What should I do!?
I have an earring in it now. Its a captive earring.
Why do we get bad breath when we're sick?
Why do we get bad breath when we're sick because i have been having mucus in my throat and my breath smells a lot different than it usually does. Why?
How can I get rid of the awful taste/smell of bile from my mouth?
I quit smoking a month ago. I suffered a bout of tonsillitis about three weeks ago. During that time I developed an awful taste of bile in my mouth, and often feel as if I've got a big lump of it in the back of my throat. I know that sinusitis can cause this, but usually it disappears with the symptoms. However, it's been three weeks now and I still have HORRIBLE breath - my mouth tastes awful, my breath could kill a man, and I occasionally have this awful smelling mucus that I have to spit out. No amount of flossing, brushing, or expensive mouthwash has been able to solve this - what is wrong with me? Is it a remnant of the tonsillitis or is it some after-effect of quitting smoking? Please help, I don't want to become some kind of social reject!
I have a problem: I have a bad breath and I do not know how to get rid of it!?
Even though, I brush, floss, scrape my tongue, and rinse my mouth with a mouthwash, Crest Pro-Health. But I feel that the bad breath comes from the saliva....
I am not too sure because currently, I have a mucus in my throat (I will get that checked out), and I feel that is the culprit of the bad breath....
Any ideas how to get rid of it?
Why could I be spitting blood?
I was jogging today, and felt pretty out of breath as usual. I had to force up some mucus, and when I spat, it was mostly red (not just minor streaks). Spat a dozen more times, and each time, same thing. If I simply spit the saliva from my mouth, there's no blood, but if I force up some mucus, there's blood.
As far as I can tell, it's not coming from my gums (my oral health is good), I don't have any lacerations or sores in my throat or mouth, and I haven't had nosebleed.
Recently, I've been constantly feeling the need to purge mucus, like something's in my throat. Eventually, I do it so much that I make myself gag, and sometimes even throw up.
Can I get an oral or vaginal yeast infection from exposing these areas to baking yeast?
My roommate is currently on a wild bread making kick, and is horrible about cleaning up the kitchen whenever he is done. A small amount of baker's yeast is obviously in the doughy residue that he allows to accumulate on the range, countertop, and unwashed bowls that he leaves in the sink, and apart from the fact that this is aesthetically disconcerting, I fear that this is turning out kitchen into a breeding ground for fungus.
I know that oral thrush and vaginal yeast infections are usually caused by candida, and that baker's yeast is of another species, but is there any danger that could come from letting such messes sit untouched? If I were to inadvertently bring baker's yeast into contact with one of my mucus membranes, might it cause or make me more susceptible to an infection? If not, are there any other immediate threats to my health that this yeast could possibly cause?
I know that all of these questions would be deemed irrelevant if I were to just clean the kitchen myself, but I feel as though this would be some useful knowledge to have for future reference - as well as an opportunity to get in a fair "I told you so" with said roommate.
Excuse my paranoia, but I am simply wanting to make sure. Serious answers only, and please do not respond if you are unsure or cannot substantiate your answer. Thanks!
Why does my 7 year old son have really bad breath over the winter?
Every-time the weather starts to get cold my son has really bad breath. It's not so bad in the summer although slightly bothersome. I think I smell mucus but am not sure. I took him to the Dr. last year about it and she said she smells mucus too. How do I help him solve this problem?
what type of medication would cause teeth to turn yellow?
there was a certain medication i had to take a lot when i was for a couple years when i was really young, and because of it, my teeth kind of have a yellowish tint, i can't remember what it was, i used to think it was fluoride, but that helps with whitening teeth i think? i had big sinus/mucus problems, sick all the time, just wondering if anyone has any idea what kind of medication can do this, and can whitening strips fix the problem?
