electric shocks in my teeth?

Posted on July 21, 2010

shocks come out of nowhere during day and mainly affect my front top two teeth, but also happen on other teeth in anterior region of my mouth (incisors, even mandibular teeth). it feels like the shocks associated with teeth whitening (i had this done 2 yrs ago...never had a problem since). they happen about 2-5 times every 15 minutes, drinking or eating does not stlimulate shocks. shocks started up in early july. i had 8 small cavities (never had a cavity before) filled in early june. i went to the dentist and she checked condition of my enamel, gum recession, x-rays, and any cavities. she said that everything was fine. on high fluoride toothpaste now for 5 wks. she guesses that shocks are a result of the fact that only my mandibular/maxillary central incisors touch when i bite (i went to the othro and he said that my jaw did infact grow...i may need braces again...he gave me an essix retainer to protect my teeth at night...he is not sure what is wrong either). i'm 19 and sooo scared!!
