Please help me, I'm very depressed!?

It all started 2 months ago, somewhere at the start of the summer, I went to the dentist, she said she saw traces of acid dental erosion, I didn't know what it was and she said she needed to look at the X-rays of my teeth (I had to make them anyway for my wisdom teeth). I didn't mind it, so I remained happy, yada yada yada. Then I told a friend who told me what it was and then I started searching it on the internet, I started to get scared, I became more and more depressed because I was affraid my teeth would fall out. I became obsessed with my teeth, I never was a good brusher... I regret that now. I talked to a friend about it, he told me to stop worrying and I did, suddenly I kept on touching my teeth with my tongue, I got the feeling my left upper canine was a little loose, and I got even more scared. I had a dentist appointment thursday to fill a cavity, when I was done and was paying, I told her about my canine, she just said it doesn't come loose that easy, but she didn't feel it or anything. I accepted it, but it still feels loose and I am very scared... It makes me depressed, now I feel something weird on my palate, now I am scared I have oral cancer, since I never brushed frequently (now I do though) and I smoked for 2 yrs... It makes me more and more depressed and I am affraid to talk to someone about it, because they will think I am overreacting...

Please help me..

I also stopped smoking since a week, I have gastritis and can't drink alcohol..
