Can college health services give out prescriptions?
I would like to get a prescription for anti-depressants without my parents knowing. I am 19, so the doctor is not obligated to tell them, but I am under their medical insurance, which reports all the prescriptions of all the family members each month. However, I know my college health center operates independently of the health insurance company, so the prescription would never show up. I'm just not certain whether or not they can write prescriptions. Can they?
Does it cost money to be administered to a mental treatment center in a hospital?
It's for my friend, yada yada yada.
It's a mental health center, part of a hospital,
and If he gets checked in he doesn't want to burden his parents with the cost.
Thanks.
NEBRASKA Dental (Health Center)?
I need some MAJOR dental work done and I've thought about getting on Medicaid to help me pay for it as it will be way too expensive and I can't afford most of the work I need done right now. I've looked into going to a dentistry school/clinic as I've heard it is much cheaper than private dentists (btw does anyone have a rough estimate of how much it would cost to go to a dentistry school/clinic, i need a few root canals/crowns done..)
But the one last thing people tell me about is Health Centers. What are they? I've heard sometimes they will provide free dental care to even people that need major services, i.e. root canals, crowns, etc. Or they are even cheaper than a private dentist and/or dentistry clinic/school.
I've heard of 2 Health Centers in Nebraska. CHARLES DREW HEALTH CENTER and ONE WORLD COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER...
Is there anyone out there who knows about these Health Centers?
I would greatly appreciate any feedback on this!
Thank you.
I heard you get care from them regardless if you have health insurance, and they charge you based on your income and what you make, being as I have no income, I have no job, I temporarily live with parents for the moment, how will this work out? I can probably do a "down payment" kind of thing for them like ,000.
if I just can go to my university's health center.. are they able to give me birth control pills?
so Im an international student so the only way I have access to medical care is by the school health insurance. However, because the school is lead by a specific religion, would they be able to get me in birth control if I go to a genecologist there? My parents are not here, so I can't take my mom with me, which is safer but I just want to know how to ask for it
What is the easiest and best diabetes monitoring kit?
My friend has type 2 diabetes and only tests himself when he feels bad. He goes to his parents house and borrows his mom's kit. I want to buy him one that he can carry with him and is easy to use;doesn't need alot of maintainance.
