Is this legal for the people at my mental health center to do?

Posted on July 17, 2011

I go through a prescription assistance program for my medication for OCD and ADHD right now since the cost of medication is sky high and I am poor. My doctor prescribed my meds of course and I always get it through the program which sends it their to the pharmacy at the center I go to for my therapy and doctor visits. I have to re-enroll in the program every year, and I usually have enough meds to last me until they approve the application again, NOT THIS YEAR. They did not have one bottle left when I had to sign up for the program again. I am almost out of one of the medicines I take and the other may last me, I haven't counted it yet. They said they would have to wait until the application comes through and they send me more bottle. In the meantime I have talked to the nurse there about it and she said she would talk to the doctor about it. That was the first nurse I talked to, another one called me monday after she got a hold of the notes from the first nurse going to the doctor. She was totally braindead and didn't understand what I was telling her. She first made the assumption that I was now making enough money to not qualify for the program and I had to bluntly state that I am having to wait on more meds while my application goes through. Heck, I am making less this year than I was last year. I lost my job and had to settle for one that paid less until I could find another. Still no luck with the crappy job market. They said it could take weeks but one time it took a month to go through(but I had plenty of meds then). They said all they can do is talk to the doctor about getting on a cheaper medicine that is supposed to treat the same stuff, but with a different name until it all goes through. That will be tommorow before the nurse can talk to her since the doctor was not there today. I was told they were going to talk to her on Monday. I can buy a 30 day supply of the pills but they cost over 0.00. I know abruptly going off of medication can make someone sick and even make their behavior go bad(some have gone on shooting sprees), can these people legally do this to me?? I mean that is just stupid/
The people at the pharmacy told me that it was time for me to re-apply. They have do it at a various time each year. It is a we-tell-you type situation. I didn't know.
They don't have samples either.

Can I take chia seed oil capsules and get the same health benefits as eating raw chia seeds?

Posted on June 21, 2011

I don't like the taste of chia seeds and wanted an easy way to take them. I would prefer to swallow some pills to get them but the only ones I have found are OIL extracts from chia seeds. Will I still be getting the same benefits by swallowing chia oil capsules as I would if I ate raw chia seeds?

Is inversion therapy (hanging upside down) a good cure for lower back pain?

Posted on May 22, 2011

I have suffered for years from debilitating lower back pain, and doctors only recommend pills or surgery. It comes and goes, but as of recent it has been really bad, cause stabbing pains in my lower sides, tingling in my toes, and hindering my range of motion greatly. I am young (26 yrs old) and it is ruining my quality of life. Any feedback or advice on inversion therapy is much welcomed

I have canker sores in back of mouth and tounge. Help please!?

Posted on May 14, 2011

I get canker sores pretty often -- anywhere from 2~4 times a year usually. But they were always in the front of my mouth, on my bottom lip etc-- They hurt but it's pretty easy to apply the sore medicine and it hurts to eat but it's not unbearable.

Well now I have at least 2 sores. One is on the side of my tounge in the WAYY back like right where it starts going into your throat, and one on the back near my tonsils. -------- Is there any way to find some relief?

Eating is terrible, swallowing I want to cry and I can't eat in front of people except my boyfriend becase I look like I'm being made to swallow poison or something. I live abroad in Korea now and they have a dif. system so you go to doctor/pharmasist and they give you all medicines, so you don't pick out what you want usually ... so I have the oral medicine and some pills .. the pills help with the pain for about an hour but then its back and you can't take more than 2 pills in an 8 hour period. The oral stuff is almost impossible to apply and only lasts about an hour or less also. I've had these sores around 3 days now ... usually my sores last around 2 weeks! I don't think I can stand much more of this! ... How can I help them heal faster? :(
Canker Sores aren't linked to poor hygiene, i'm just prone to them. My father said he used to get them all the time too, so maybe it's genetic. I'll look into the zinc thing, but the reason I'm taking the meds is because I already have the sores, and I can't stand the pain so I'm taking meds.

How to make lower back pain go away?

There is a pain on the left of my lower back. How do I get rid of it? I am going to a Valentine party tonight and I don't wanna be looking like a loser sitting around and not hanging with my friends. Is there any pills, should I give myself a massage or something?? Thankss

Can you explain what health benefits does Stem Enhance dietary supplement have?

Posted on March 15, 2011

I'm a simple person. I got a present - Stem Enhance dietary supplement package. On the information tag it says "supports natural release of adult stem cells" But I don't even know what those stem cells do, and where they are. I took couple of pills but didn't get any result, maybe it doesn't do anything because it's expensive rip-off? So what health benefits Stem Enhance pills can give me?

How long will it take for my back pain to go away?

Posted on March 6, 2011

I usually work out 5 days a week and yesterday I added a new workout to my usual weight routine called the "stiff leg dead lift". Anyhow, I must have strained my back doing that because this morning I could hardly get out of bed and walk. I've been in major pain all day and my whole lower back is throbbing and spasing out. I've been taking ALEVE pills but they don't really work that well. How long do you think it will take for my back pain to go away and should I avoid the treadmill tommorrow? I hate missing workouts.
