dentist told me i have bone loss of 4-5mm and some pocketing of 5-6mm after seeing hygienist teeth loose why?
I had been with my last dentist for 15 years but he rarely took x-rays whereas my new dentist took x-rays and discovered this problem, it has really frightened me as I thought teeth were being looked after by my dentist (how wrong can you be) I am not sleeping due to fear of losing them, are they loose because the plaque below gumline was holding them in?
Good brushing techniques?
I have braces, and today I went to the orthadontist to get tightened. I noticed in a really bright light that my i have alot of yellow plaque around my teeth where the brackets are. I don't know why! :( I brush twice a day, I floss once a week, and use mouthwash.
Any good brushing techinques to get rid of plaque easily?
Braces Problem??
I have had braces for close to 3 years now and I was wondering...I brush my teeth pretty good and i floss ( or i will try to floss the best i can). Since you are not allowed to use whitening toothpaste while wearing braces, if you had/have braces, what did you use to brush your teeth?? What did you use or do to keep icky stuff from sticking to the back of your teeth..I have some plaque on the back of my front bottom teeth and I was wondering how can i get rid of it?? I know alot of it wont come off unless i go to the dentist which i go to on the 25th of July..what can i do to keep my teeth clean and plaque free??
Can degenerative bone disease really affect a persons teeth?
I have been diagnosed with degenerative bone and disc disease. for years I didn't have any dental problems, even though the dentist told me that I have "soft teeth". For that reason and having braces when i was a teenager, I made it a habit of brushing my teeth several times a day. I will even wake up at night and brush my teeth.
Now, in the past 1 1/2-2 years my teeth will just crumble and eventually some of them have hurt which meant they had to be extracted. The tooth will look healthy. I had a FRONT TOOTH to crumble and fall out WHILE I WAS BRUSHING!
My dentist told me that other than the deteriorating my teeth were healthy. There were no signs of plaque or improper brushing.
I am now 37 years old and I have been diagnosed with the bone and spine disease along with arthritis in my back but does this type of disease affect a persons teeth.
Please serious answers only worth 10 points!
are fillings supposed to turn yellow?
i got fillings put on two of my top teeth a few weeks ago and they look like they are turning yellow and falling off or is it just plaque? my dentist said they were permanent. please help.
Brown little cracks on teeth? what do i do , what are they?
I have a tincy brown little crack in between my top 2 big teeth and i also have one a bit further down the line on another tooth.
They are not stains that cover the whole tooth, just these little cracks that look like a chip on a windscreen or like a little splintery thorn.
They cause me no pain and my teeth are apparently healthy, the odd bit of plaque here and there sure but no major concern.
So yeah , these tiny brown splinters....what are they?!
i dont smoke, i do drink fizzy drinks a lot though and i wouldnt be suprised if the answers highlight this as a cause.
No rubbish posts like u shld take better care of your teeth !! thats a given
cheers.
How do i get rid of these brown stains that are between some of my teeth pretty please?
Hey! About a year and a bit ago i recognized that not between my two front teeth but between the tooth next to it some brown substence was appearing, but it was very slight so i just thought it was like that already. Some time later the brown substence ran the whole length down between it. I think it was soon after this happened, just over night i got brown substence between 4 of my bottom front teeth as well. The bottom teeth were fine before i went to sleep, but when i woke up this brown substence was there. I was in panic and immediately rang my dentist who booked me an appointment but they kept on delaying the appointment for a further 3 months and in this time i received some more brown substence. This next one was located not between my front two teeth, but the tooth next to it, and then soon after that i had brown substence between my front two teeth as well. Eventually, the dentist stopped delaying my appointments and i managed to go there. They did something that removed a bit of it, but in time it came back. Somebody told me that i should start flossing and cleaning my tongue with a tongue cleaner but i had never heard of flossing and tongue cleaning before this, so i started to do it and in time it reduced. I was also using mouth wash to help it go away. When i went to the dentist again, he used something between my teeth and said that he removed all the plaque that was behind and between my teeth, but the brown stains remained. Please can anyone tell me how to get rid of these brown stains between my teeth? I've not been going out and seeing my friends much for the past year due to this and also my personality has completed changed because i'm constantly thinking about it and don't want to smile. You can only really see it when your close up but still, it's there and i won't be myself again till its removed. Oh, and before it happened i brushed twice a day, 5 minutes at a time and i was cleaning my teeth correctly so it wasn't due to brushing. If anyone can tell me how i can get rid of this brown staining and get my life back on track that would be fantastic and i'd owe you so much, thank you :)
Name of the disease that rots your teeth at an abnormal rate?
My boss has AWFUL teeth. They look like they are coated in plaque and like she hasn't brushed for months. She's got purple spots on her teeth, obviously of rot and decay. She's always getting teeth pulled at the dentist.
Now, I thought that maybe she was just unhygenic, but here I find out she has some tooth disease that rots her teeth and an abnormal speed and the dentists told her that she would have probably lost all her teeth by the time she was 18. Luckily, she still has most of her teeth, but it is getting progressively worse. I am absolutely disgusted with her teeth. If that were me, I'd have all them pulled and get some fake ones put in because that is just embarassing to me!
I am absolutely disgusted with her teeth. What is this disease??
