Which is better to help enamel (whats left) remineralize Actor Pronamel? or Both?

Posted on January 11, 2011

I have suffered from acid erosion for 6 years (long long story). I am now finally able to start overcoming the vomit spells. However I need some advice because now I have soft enamel with white spots on my teeth. Anyways, which is better to use Act or Pronamel? If I use both, what is the procedure. I read online that ur suppose to wait 30 mins or something. How much would remineralize and how fast? I just found out that ur not suppose to brush after vomit spell. And I read that by brushing your teeth it keeps ur teeth covered with a coating, resulting in teeth never able to remineralize.

Anywasy what should I buy and how should I use it. My dentist told me to get ACT. I just found out about pronamel online.

I really appreciate the support and answers. Also I'm 22.

Lemon juice and tooth enamel?

Posted on July 15, 2010

I'm sentenced to a lifetime of drinking tons of water. Ok, maybe not tons but at least 2-4 quarts per day. Because water is so boring I've been using the Crystal Lite to go sticks to add a hint of flavor. But eventually I'll get tired of those too - and paying for them, so I thought about adding a little bit of lemon juice to the water instead. I'm thinking I'd probably add the juice I can squeeze by hand out of 1/2 of a lemon to about a quart of water.

But I'm concerned about the effect on my teeth. I have braces (if that matters), I'm 41 and my teeth are sensitive. I'm using Pronamel by Sensodyne toothpaste.

If I do this, it would be twice per day 5 days a week. But not every single week - I'll vary that with using the CL sticks and perhaps also plain water.

Will that much lemon juice be detrimental to my teeth?

Is it safe to mix toothpaste?

Posted on July 15, 2010

I regularly use Sensodyne Pronamel for the sensitivity of my teeth. Recently after dental visit, the dentist strongly recommends Colgate's Duraphat 5000 for its concentrated Sodium Fluoride and said I could do away with Pronamel.

Tooth sensitivity returns and it hurts so bad. So I thought of mixing up Pronamel (to soothe sensitivity) and Duraphat 5000 to get the best of both chemicals.
What are your thoughts?

Is Crest Pro Health good for tooth enamel?

Posted on July 7, 2010

I know that toothpastes cant restore tooth enamel, but i know there are some that can strengthen it and protect it. I was wondering if Crest Pro Health did that since it seems to do everything else. Also, which is better for the enamel, ProNamel or Arm & Hammer?
