my roommate was fingered by a guy 2 nights ago, (she is still a virgin) and she says that since then she has been having pain when she goes to pee, and she said that sometimes she feelos like peeing often but only a little urine comes out. She also says that she has soreness down there. We both want to know if she has a urinary track infection or if its something worst, ( Please dont tell us to go to the dr because that is our next move anyway we just want to have an idea of what she might have)

What foods are bad for those with diabetes?

Posted on June 11, 2011

My roommate was just diagnosed with diabetes. What are some foods that may appear to be healthy but are bad for diabetics. For example, I heard they should not eat carrots.

Is it true that putting toothpaste on zits will help them go away quicker?

My old roommate swore by this remedy, I'm wondering if it has worked for anyone else.

what happens to teeth if whitening product is left on for too long?

Posted on November 22, 2010

My roommate used a whitening teeth tray that should of been left on for 45 minutes and fell asleep with it for the entire night... what is going to happen to her teeth? What are the risks? She's complaining that her teeth hurt terribly...

She has poor personal hygiene?

Posted on October 3, 2010

My roommate is 18, and she does not like to brush her teeth. A few weeks ago we were talking about brushing our teeth, and she mentioned that she hated brushing her teeth because it made her gag. I however, have excellent oral hygiene. Since then, I've noticed that her teeth are getting really dirty looking. I mean, her teeth have a plaque buildup and she's got dark spots between her teeth which look to me like they could be cavities, but they could very well be bits of food too. The teeth to the right and left of her two front teeth are grey in colour, whereas a few weeks ago they just looked slightly stained. And her breath stinks...horribly. I wanted to mention to her that she needs to brush her teeth more often, as in at least twice a day. However, I don't get a chance to! At first I thought maybe it was just her teeth (teeth can vary in colour too), but when I tidied up the bathroom last Friday, I put her toothbrush in a certain location and position in our caddy, and it hasn't moved since...yikes! What should I say?
Keep in mind she says she has a strong gag reflex!
Also, she only washes her hair once a week, but she gets really bad dandruff. Her hair is often greasy and smelly by the third day of not washing. How can I get her to wash her hair more often without making her feel bad?

Can I get an oral or vaginal yeast infection from exposing these areas to baking yeast?

Posted on August 29, 2010

My roommate is currently on a wild bread making kick, and is horrible about cleaning up the kitchen whenever he is done. A small amount of baker's yeast is obviously in the doughy residue that he allows to accumulate on the range, countertop, and unwashed bowls that he leaves in the sink, and apart from the fact that this is aesthetically disconcerting, I fear that this is turning out kitchen into a breeding ground for fungus.

I know that oral thrush and vaginal yeast infections are usually caused by candida, and that baker's yeast is of another species, but is there any danger that could come from letting such messes sit untouched? If I were to inadvertently bring baker's yeast into contact with one of my mucus membranes, might it cause or make me more susceptible to an infection? If not, are there any other immediate threats to my health that this yeast could possibly cause?

I know that all of these questions would be deemed irrelevant if I were to just clean the kitchen myself, but I feel as though this would be some useful knowledge to have for future reference - as well as an opportunity to get in a fair "I told you so" with said roommate.

Excuse my paranoia, but I am simply wanting to make sure. Serious answers only, and please do not respond if you are unsure or cannot substantiate your answer. Thanks!
