What are some of the most common risk factors for diabetes?

Posted on August 31, 2011

Is age a factor? How about just one of your parents having it? Do they both have to have it in order for you to get it too?

And what are some of the most common signs you may have diabetes? Like what should you be on the look out for?

I'm just kind of confused over the whole the so I'd like for someone to maybe shine some light on it.

I noticed that his breath is very sweet which really concerns me and I know that diabetes runs in his family. Are there any signs I can look out for?

What are the usual signs that a person has diabetes?

Posted on June 10, 2011

I went to my GP yesterday as a follow-up appointment after being diagnosed with cellulitis in the foot. A number of other concerns were raised about my circulation and my heart which were showing some bad results after checking blood pressure. They said I am also very low on oxygen due to shortness of breath. I am going for some tests on Monday and Tuesday to find out whether I do have diabetes and anything else but what are the usual signs that a person has diabetes?

If I have all these good qualities, then why don't I get any action from girls?

I don't want to sound like a conceited douche, but if I had to describe myself, personality and all, I pretty much fit the mold of the "perfect boyfriend".

-Loyal
-Fun
-Confident, but quiet
-I workout
-Eat healthy
-Like sports
-Like to go out
-Caring/sweet and protective, but not overly so
-I'm in college
-Hopeless romantic
-Smell good
-Loving family
-I have been told I could be a model if I wanted
-5'11, Black hair, brown eyes, tan skin, nice teeth and skin

So WHY is it that I can't seem to get the girls I go after? I have a good slightly quirky personality and I am very humble, so I know its not because they think I am dumb. I never really get the "body language" signs from girls that they like you. Honestly, I have no idea and its kinda depressing because I want a relationship or at least dating ppl. I'm 21 and have never gone on a legit date. My family hassles me all the time and says "Your such a good looking guy, why don't you have a girlfriend"? Its kinda embarassing because I think that THEY think I am a loser. Sometimes I engage girls in conversation, but most of the time I am neutral. Should I be more aggressive in a way?

Any tips?
