What can I do to further rebuild my enamel?

Posted on August 25, 2010

I am one of those unfortunate folks who has a naturally soft enamel.
Because of financial constraints, I missed a dentist appointment in the midst of my developing daily Mountain Dew habit.
I finally went in for a check-up in May, and my dentists chewed me out for ages on the harm I'd done to my teeth (as if I didn't already feel bad enough!). It's not that I had had bad hygiene habits; I floss at least once a day and brush at least twice. My dentist recognized this fact, but sadly, it wasn't enough to help the damage.
Now, I've quit drinking soda and replaced it with coffee, tea, and water until I can conquer my caffeine addiction, and then I'll move on to just water.
I was placed on a prescription anti-bacterial mouthwash regiment, followed immediately by a fluoride paste regiment (which makes things like ACT mouthwash just redundant), by my dentist.
I use Sensodyne Pro-namel, as recommended by her as well.

I know to avoid acidic/sugary foods and all the basics for preventing enamel destruction.
Is there anything more I can do to repair the damage that genetics and soda have already done, or am I maxed out on my enamel-building options?

Thank you in advance.
