Thick ropy tartar, and reflux contributed to the enanel being eaten away. Used Plax mouthwash and a sonic toothbrush to clean up teeth. Now cleaner, but gum line pulled back shows actual enamel loss and cavaties at gum line. What kind of dentist do I look for, and what can be done?

Is there a toothbrush with BOTH sonic action and a rotating head?
I am currently using a sonic toothbrush. I like the way a sonic brush cleans between teeth. But it's easier for me to clean the back of my teeth with a brush that has a rotating head (like Oral B and Spinbrush). Does anyone know of a brush that has both actions? A Web link would be great.
Is an electric toothbrush worth it if its not sonic?
I have an Oral B electric toothbrush that cost ; needless to say, it is not sonic. So my question is: is there much difference in a manual toothbrush/electric toothbrush/sonic toothbrush that I should just go back to a regular toothbrush or buy a sonic electric toothbrush?/
By the way, when I say 'sonic', I'm not necessarily talking about Sonicare; I'm talking about the sonic technology (the deal with how many times the brush head moves/rotates).
Why does my Sonic Care Toothbrush stink?
I have a Sonic toothbrush for few years & recently has a musty odor. I clean it including replacement head & replace evry 6 mo as directed. Im wondering if putting the base in dishwasher worked or if it would ruin it? I have sprayed it with Clorox Clean up & that works for about 2 days. Any suggestions?
