2 questions, ill choose a best answer :) about acne and teeth.?

1- I wash my face with soap and water twice a day morning and night. But i still breakout with pimples. I am 14 years old, and dealing with stress too so that may be a problem. I used to use things like Nuetragena, oxy, clean&clear,st.ives, stridex, and many more of those things and i didnt like it, so thats why now i am only using regular soap now. I also have very oily skin. How do i make this acne go away without using the other things i mentioned? help?

2-I have braces and i am getting them off in 2 months, i want to know what are some good flosses, or brushes or toothpastes for puffy gums that bleed every time i brush? Also when i eat ice cream my teeth feel all tingley and it hurts , or like ice from a drink, anything also to help this?

Why do people use fluoride when they brush their teeth?

Okay, so some toothpastes have the ingredient fluoride in them. Does having fluoride in you're toothpaste, does it make your teeth whiter? Is that the main point for Toothpaste with fluoride? (so you whiten you're teeth)

Is fluoride toothpaste absolutely necessary for healthy teeth? vs. natural toothpaste?

I'm asking this because I want to know if the natural toothpastes that contain calcium work just as well to keep your teeth strong and healthy. Any opinions on this are welcome :)

Apart from regular brushing, what else can I do to keep my tooth enamel strong?

Posted on April 28, 2011

I am paranoid about the enamel on my teeth slowly decaying from acid erosion, sugary and and starchy substances. I know regular brushing obviously helps to combat this, but is there anything else that can be done to keep the enamel on my teeth strong, any particular toothpastes that are formulated to do this?

I have sensitive teeth?

Posted on April 24, 2011

My teeth have always been sensitive to cold, but lately they've started hurting from sugar, too. I've been to the dentist and ruled out cavities, so it's really just the way my teeth are.

I know there are special toothpastes and fluoride rinses that can help me, but here is the problem: I am allergic to mint. I have to use kids' toothpaste and mouthwash (although I am careful to use ADA-approved products with my dentist's guidance), so I can't really use a mint-flavored desensitizing toothpaste.

Are there any desensitizing treatments that have no mint in them? Or am I stuck with some sort of surgery?

What toothpaste would you recommend?

Posted on April 22, 2011

I'm guessing my boyfriend has hypersensitive tastebuds. He's the pickiest eater I have ever encountered. He brushes his teeth like he should, but hates it because he says the toothpaste taste sticks with him for hours after he's done brushing. He hates the taste. I buy Crest, but do you have any non-minty or non-powerful tasting recommendations? Are the toothpastes for children any better tasting?

what is the function of blue 1 in toothpaste?

please no lectures about it just why it is used in some toothpastes and if you don't mind, you can briefly explain the process.
thanks a lot.

Does Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate in toothpaste cause canker sores?

Posted on April 9, 2011

I know that Sodium Lauryl Sulfate causes them, anyone know about this detergent in relation mouth ulcers?
Reality Jack, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I went from using common toothpastes with Sodium Lauryl Sulfate to pastes without it and I noticed a big decrease.

I've heard that some toothpastes hurt and can burn your skin. Which brand is the best to treat acne?
